Thought TVR looked good for a rookie in his 1st NHL game.   By far Keith and Seabs were the worst defensive pair during the 1st, 2nd periods.   Good thing  Keith grabbed 2 points or he'd be -2 for the game.</p>

Which is why Today should be a bag skate with Crawford blowing the whistle.</p>

I was telling my bro at the end of the 1st that if the 'hawks ended up losing Crawford should have took that dressing room apart.  I was having flashbacks from the Montreal game last year where Crawford and Price were going toe-to-toe in an epic netminder duel only for our core Fwds and D-men to give away the game in OT.</p>

Skilled puck moving dman, though he can't play D worth a shit. I'd rather have Johns up as he's atleast a defensive dman. TVR didn't look bad, but nothing special.</p>

I know that is his pedigree but I have never seen him show a thimble's worth of skill.</p>

I mean just play the fucking kid and see if he can give the team something, or give up the ghost.</p>

Funny how Bowman will force some players down Quenneville's throat, but not others.</p>

I've heard and read nothing but good things about Johns. He's not a skilled player, but more throwback to being a good shutdown dman. They wasted a 2nd rounder on Rundblad, so they are going to give him every chance to fail. Problem is, if he wasn't good enough for the Yotes, I don't see how he could be good enough for the Hawks bottom pairing.


He's also got a one way contract, so if we waive him and he gets claimed, we basically handed the Yotes the 2nd.

It would actually be cheaper to bring up Johns, Clendening and Dahlbeck than play TVR.

The Hawks' defense is brutal. Crow is going to have a long season. Keith will be dead come the playoffs if Q intends on playing him 30 minutes a night.</p>
