Any team that gets as far to the Stanley Cup Final or goes deep in the playoffs are probably going to have multiple players that played throughout the Olympics as well. Outside of injury during the Olympics, do I think the extra, what, 6 games ( maybe one or two more or less pending on how far each of their Olympic team makes it in the tournament), is going to be what makes the difference for them in the playoffs? No, I actually think it'll be beneficial for a lot of the Hawks players that don't make an Olympic team, and I'm hoping Crawford is one of them.

Do I think the shortened off season will be what stops them or gives them problems? No because we would've at least started seeing the effects of that more than a quarter of the way through the season now, but instead they're looking stronger than ever. You got a better version of Kane (definently) and Toews than what you had back in 10', a better D-core, I'd argue nearly just as much forward depth and young players just now barely starting to come into their own playing big roles on the team (Shaw, Pirri, Saad). Again, the biggest thing to me that can stop the Hawks will be their health.
