Could we see Kyle Beach Wen. night? I'm thinking it could most certainly be a possibility.

Earily similar to Detwat last season.

Guys like Bolland need to pick up the slack.

Dave played well tonight....He's got to continue to play that way.

Kyle Beach time?

Ohh the call up? Never even thought about that. Well I like RK wouldn't be shocked to see Beach up. But is he playing RW on the farm though because as of right now we need a natural RW. Might be the only thing keeping him from being called up. I have no idea what I am talking about though I am sure Q will throw people around on wings they don't belong on

I like the sound of Beach...as long as he can play disciplined. Otherwise, give Makarov the nod.

I'm ok with any of the three. Potulney can play the PP as well. 2nd on the Oilers last year in PP goals. Right now the Hawks have the 3rd best PP in the NHL! Are one of three teams that are .3% apart. Yikes! Almost #1.

Amazing not one player from either team tonight was +/-

5PP goals and an EN. I can't remember seeing that before. Kane only had 23 seconds so really, he didn't play tonight AND they were short a forward. I'm going to take this as a blessing in disguise. I'm predicting it's going to wake this team up.

Good recovery by the Hawks. I thought Kaner was done at first I'll take 4-6 weeks over the season. Now I'm biased of course but I think Bolland played his best game of the year. And his empty netter split the net it was kind of risky with an icing call possible but it was nice. The power play clicked especially the 5 on 3 good to see. I'm kind of liking the idea of Makarov coming up. The Hawks will need scoring and he has the most offensive upside. But Beach or Poultny would be fine.

I liked how the rest of the team picked up the slack after Kane went down.

For the first time in a while it seemed like EVERYONE was finishing their checks.

First thing that popped into my head when I saw Kane go down was JT's injury against the Kings. Eerily similar situation with the leg being pinned against the boards. Looked like a pretty well twisted knee, but I'm no expert. What's the damage RK? Freak accident that the guy's stick got between his legs as he turned. I hope he never does that again though. Don't turn your back to the defenseman that's coming at you on the boards. Please. Nothing good can come out of it.

Four to six weeks huh? I guess we'll see what this team is really made of. That's a huge blow to our offense. Though, our PP was on fire last night without him, so that's encouraging. Time for some guys to really start earning their money and carrying this team. Hossa will miss, what, another 5 games or so? Our scoring depth just keeps getting thinner and thinner. I'm wondering who gets the call up as well. It will need to be someone that provides some scoring.

I missed like most of the 3rd due to the DVR recording stuff. But Dante provided play by play over xbox live so yeah. we need to take less penalties, sure the refs were a bit whistle happy but we need to clean that up.

I am beginning to wonder if Bolland needs the pressure put on him for him to really shine. Prior to last night's game he only seems to be noticeable in the playoffs (pressure) and with Kane going down Q put the pressure to fill those shoe on him on PP and he did well with it.

Is it Kane's knee or ankle? If it is the ankle isn't that the same one he hurt last year? Poor Kaner the guy seems to get hurt a lot (keyword being seems since I can only think of him getting hurt once outside of last night), but for short periods of time. I am not suggestion at all that he is injury prone. The two injuries that come to mind for me most everyone would have gotten hurt on so again I am not remotely suggesting he's injury prone.

As for the call up. I really want to see Beach, a lot of hype on the kid so I kind of want to see him in the big show and see if there's any substance to the hype

Beach has missed the last couple games for Rockford... Chris is going to find out if it's injury or healthy scratches on Wednesday.

A lot of home cooking should help the Hawks get through Kane's injury. They have been bad at home, but big injury's like Kane's can provide a rallying point for a team, especially one with strong leadership like the Hawks.

Hossa should be back soon, and hopefully he will start contributing again. Bolland will hopefully build on his performance last night.

Losing Kane is huge, but the Suckwings had way more injuries last season and we able to still make the playoffs by finishing strong.

Not to shine the spotlight on any one player, but this is a perfect opportunity for a guy like Jack Skille to shine. Same for Jeremy Morin.

Toews and Hossa went down last season and the team worked through it.

Injuries happen to every team....NO EXCUSES!

Second in the NHL behind the Oilers (referencing man games lost).

Ugly win, but I'll take it.

I'm beginning to like Crawford more and more. He keeps this type of play up and after this season we'll be looking for a backup, not a starter.

If he pace keeps up, yeah it is Corey's net and you know what good for him to finally get it. The poor kid has been in the organization for years and he's always been next inline only to get passed up by a Free Agent. I hope we keep Corey and I hope he becomes our #1 and he becomes a top 15 goalie in the league or better. The kid has endured so I want him to succeed.

Not sure about that. Campbell, Hjarlmarsson, Hossa, PIsani and now Kane are out or have been. ALthough it's only 29 games into the season I'd say it was pretty close up to this point. "way more"?

Really? Toews missed 6 games last year. Hossa was injured before he started so was really never a member of the team until he returned.

The year before Toews was out for an extended period, 18 games and yes, the team struggled while he was out.

Agreed - I feel he's really matured and grown into the role. No longer is he is the nervous kid back there but seems more like an adult with the maturity to handle it. Solid play from him in each game this year so far.

Also lost Campbell last season which can't be overlooked. And Bolland was out with his back for a time as well.

Probably true, but the similarities are there.

They sure did finish strong once they got all of their guys back.

If Kane is out six weeks, that would put him back in the lineup right around the Philly game on 1-23.

With all of the home cooking the Hawks have in Dec/Jan, hopefully they'll be close to Detroit at that time.

And considering how old the Wangs are, they're far from exempt from the injury bug.

I know, right! I'll tell him you send your best!

The Hawks are basically playing with 4 D men. Cullimore 7 minutes NO PP and or PK opposed to Keith 7 min PP and 6 min PK, Seabrook 6:30 PP, 4 PK.

Boynton 11 Minutes, 2 min PK, Zero PP. I'm glad they are not on the ice much BUT it's a great way to run down the other four.

Keith with almost 30 MINUTES tonight again.

I'd also like to add to some of those "fans" out there the Hawks are 7-3 in their last 10 games.

That is all.

I think that's more a function of all the speial teams play and Campbell on the PK.

Kane has missed a total of 4 games in his career.
