May be we can get the same refs from the nucs game, they need the game time experience so they can be ready for the play offs.

Why do that? It has only proven to win. Q likes to play soft hockey if you ask me.

Even last year we dominated teams when we hit them all night. I mean we abused them on the scoreboard bad. you'd think the light bulb would go off for someone and they'd say 'hey guys let's hit we win when we do' but alas it does not happen.

I'm not sure about that. some of the old Blews teams were not soft at all.

I think it's more the type of players we have left after last year.

Only Brouwer and Seabs seem to hit with any regularity.

Agreed.

Buff, Ladd, Eager, Burrish, Steeg, all used the body. Their replacements, Stahlber (although better lately) Bickell (not sure why he deosn't play more physical, Pisani (not a checker) just have not replaced the guys missing.

I hope the refs don't blow this for us. I still can't get over the last loss. NHL should really start looking into suspension of these refs or in cases like the last game that took a goal from us. What they should do is any goal that goes in should be allowed until it is reviewed, only then to decide if it is a good goal or not. A game, standings and possible not making a playoffs should not fall in one persons view of what he thinks is at that split second that flashes in front of him. NHL need to redue their whole reviewing and rule system because it blows.

Not reviewing a goal because of offsides or goaltender interference is unacceptable. Give the coaches one challenge and if they are wrong, take away their timeout. It honestly is not going to add that long to any game.

Who cares about a challenge, it should be standard that questionable calls like that are reviewed anyway.

If the ref waives off a goal, it should be reviewed no matter what. Even if it is obvious, at least take a minute to determine if the correct call was made.

The NHL's excuse for poor officiating is that the game is too fast paced and not every on ice call can be correct. Anyone with eyes would have seen that the Hawks were screwed on both of those plays, it honestly didn't even need to go to Toronto. Maybe a solution would be to pay an off-ice official to make these simple determinations after the play at each rink, and if its more serious, have him send it to Toronto.. The league needs to step up and take responsibility here, its costing teams points.

Not only the Hawks either, but in the last week alone there have been FOUR goals waived off in the NHL. FOUR! I'd say 3 of them were good goals, one of them was properly waived off. Toronto had a problem earlier in the year with this too. It's so bad for the NHL if they can't get the correct call. It makes it look fixed.

I don't believe in conspiracies such as that, but if the refs can't properly do their jobs, they need an outside influence to help them perform then.
