Good test for our boys tonight. Hoping for a good outcome and a hard-fought match. A loss tonight and the Avs leapfrog us.

You know what's fuckin crazy?

113 points could get you 3rd place in the Central.

I think the 'Hawks need to finish with a points percentage around 0.640 to get 113pts. They have been on like a 0.580 clip since the beginning of January. St. Louzer needs around 0.500 to get 112.

Anyone think this team is going to win a 7 game series against either Colorado or St. Louis?

Exciting game to watch. I hate that bad penalties cost them but man, Col. got away with quite a bit with no call.

It would be a damn exciting series, win or lose. I like our chances.

The Avs do make me nervous though.

Colorado has been having success against the Hawks because of their goalie, otherwise the Hawks have been the better team. If they meet in the playoffs, it's going to be an exciting series, but I believe the Hawks will come out on top.

I'll take the Hawks' blue line and overall defense over Colorado's every day and their forward depth over St. Louis every day.

Colorado scares me because of Varlamov.

But to be fair, we hit a bunch of posts, and luck hasn't really been on our side during the season series.

I think with Crawford in the net, we at least get to OT or win that game in regulation.

Possibly but I don't think Raanta was the breakover factor. IMHO the problem with the team last night was as a whole we brought the energy, but not the passing ability or the hockeyIQ.

I like the fact that we kept up with them--a young, hungry, skilled team, but better decwsisions with the puck were needed, as well as the ability to compket a pass and not dawdle when we have the puck. Further, if Varlamint was giving up rebounds, someone has to *be* at the front of the net if we're going to go low to get the rebound (At least Saad figured that out), and if you're gonna go high, get in close like Kane.

Just my $.02. I think we *can* beat them in a 7 game series, but we have to come out as hard, but way smarter.

Oh, and don't dress 7 d-men. It didn't help.

If Crawford was in net... it likely would have been 3-0 in the 1st period.

Not knocking Crawford but Raanta made quite a few key/impressive saves.
