Scenerio.
Detroit wins tomorrow and we lose against the Stars. It would put us 10 points back of Detroit for the division. Regardless of us playing the Wings 3 more times and having 6 points up for grabs in that the chances of us winning the division pretty much are slim to none. We MUST win this game if we want the division.
More importantly...we really really really need to win this game in regulation as to keep momentum going. As much as I believe the Hawks will make the playoffs the rest of the teams in the conference in the fight are NOT slowing down either right now. The Ducks, Kings and Yotes are hot right now. We must keep pace with these teams.
If we do lose (which we will not) we can be thankful that teams like the Flames are struggling and even the Stars right now are not at their best (which makes me think they will be hungry tomorrow). Preds also have not been consistent lately.
Nothings clinched yet and nothing will be for a while yet. That's the reality. Saying the Hawks will make the playoffs doesn't mean we have clinched a spot. This isn't a must win but it sure will go a long way to getting that asterix next to the Hawks name. Which I would rather see sooner than later.

I do think this is going to be a hell of an entertaining game. Maybe a 4-3 final. Close, tense physical game. I can't wait.

hopefully we can get a lead and sustain it this time....ooooh by the way every time I have looked at Mike Ribeiro of the Stars..I have always wondered who he looked like and then BAM! it hit mee...... He looks like an al qaeda member..I'm going to keep an eye on him in the warm ups to see if he has a turbin on.

Is Ott injured from the elbow by Heatly? If not... I hope when John Scott is attempting to patrol the blue line he finds Ott and can give him a real concussion.
