I'm guilty as well, there was too much basketball on to have to watch them play like that.

I honestly did not even pay attention anymore after the third goal...lost interest but most importantly my daughter has a fever and is going up and down 101 -104.5..got the wife and I pretty scared. She was refusing the meds so we had to force it to her.

As far as the Hawks game..Mama said there will be days like this mama said...to be truth-full, I didn't even hurt that they lost..the whole team played like they were playing 5 games in a row their legs just didn't show. These games will happen its not just us. It happens to all the teams. I will put money they will beat the Yots, and see another winning streak start.

Call me stupid but I really think this team is resting for a another push...This team after dominating a team like San Jose can come out this flat with this many days rest...I really think they are trying to rest the team with out making it to obvious.

Yikes. sorry to hear about the little one acco. Yah think thats more important than focusing one the game.

As for them trying to rest for a another push at a streak? Not sure if I can buy that one myself. There isn't room in the standings to play a game like that and not put all efforts in. Esp in games like tonight. So I don't think it's a team resting it self that showed up tonight. I think its a team lacking 2 important bodies and it showed tonight. Can sense some guys are playing through some things too (ie Duncs hand).

Can't believe anyone is pointing fingers at officiating tonight. Sure I didn't watch the 3rd period but I did see the Hawks PP look dreadful in the 1st 2 periods. Good god we had our chances but we shot the puck into legs and didn't keep our own moving. I was watching a choppy feed which was a little slow..I am wondering now it was actually the feed that was slow.

Thanks TCD,Her temp. went down to 101 after the meds gave a her a bath and we put her down...I'm wanting to stay up a tittle just to check it again. before we go down.

I can see your point too and it showed on the ice...Overall its just one of those games you just have to forget about at the same time not forget and hopefully take that frustration and turn it into a positive,if that makes sense, which I think they will Sunday...just too damm long to wait until.

I remember many games in Dallas not going well. We typically do not play well in that building and never have.

Remember losing there 9-2? It's one fucking game. Move on to the next one. Every team gets blown out a few times each year. Luckily weve not had to endure it too much this year.

Doesn't help having Bickell, Bolland and Campbell out either.

Or the fact they skated short a forward tonight.

And Bier other than Turcos Gaff he played just as good as the OTHER goalie tonight. You know the one that has a HORRIBLE save percentage over the last say 5 games and has been yanked in two of them?

Turco stopped a break away tonight. Crawford did not.

Hawks had some great shifts in the first period and from there it went down hill. No Effort, no bounces, no good officiating... Nothing went well for them.

St. Louis is beating LA in LA 3-0 right now. It happens to every team.

I don't understand how a team with a +31 goal differential can be in seventh place. I just don't get it. It defies logic.

Except the refs won't let hockey happen and send John Scott off for 10 minutes for zero reason.

My uverse kicked me out of the game in the third because I was recording to much stuff. But I was fine with that. What did Scott (not) do. I heard he got sent off but no reason.

And as for the refs. They can eat a dick. They have a vendetta agains the hawks for some reason it seems.

You know it is because of all the one goal games we lost earlier in the season. Or those one goal game we blew in the 3rd periods earlier in the season.

You know that Pez.

Toews: "It looks like we all picked the same night to crap the bed."

Perfect summation from a perfect captain

more Toews: "We knew going into this one it could be one of the toughest games of the year and we had one of our worst performances."

captain Jonathan Toews on effort vs. Stars: "I’m not a psychologist. I don’t know why we decided to pack it in like that. "

I don't wanna jinx anything but by the sounds of the players and Q after the game, I would say they're definitely going to win on Sunday.

JT is the best!! Blunt to the point and does it with a little whit and keeps it slightly light. I have a feeling as he matures even more he will have some of the best hockey quotes ever.

Teams rarely "crap the bed" 2 games in a row. I am confident that the real Hawks will show up against the Yotes. Me thinks this team might benefit from tonight? Me thinks so.

Uhhhh that guy is a dumb **** comparing Scott and Boogaard signings. There is a difference signing a player for 500K and 1.2M. Did Jaekel start another blog to spew his nonsense?

I misread that at first... I thought he said Sather got a free pass. Well Glen Sather is known to overpay for everything. People rip on Sather for paying 1.2M for a goon instead of close to the league minimum... big fucking difference there.

To add too what RK was talking about..as far as Dallas playing us well..I can see it too, they match up really well against us, as does some other teams that we just can't figure out. Every team has them. It ok, Bring on the YOTS! 2 more days and counting.
