Confidence and momentum are more significant than some think. Early and often this team was accused of no heart, not caring, boring, etc. It had much more with these guys trying to do too much - which is one of the worse things an athlete can do in any sport, it only makes it harder.
Credit to Q - he is outcoaching AV once again.
Bigtime Kudo's to Keith. Guy works almost too hard and it probably effected his play all year. Seems like a gigantic weight has been taken off his back last game. More and more....as Keith goes....so do the Hawks.
Next game will be the toughest - it's not "this easy" as the last 2 games have been. VAN is better than what they've played...I think they expected the Hawks to roll over in gm 4(too much character for that)...or thought just showing up at home would be enough (Hawks have proven to be as good as a road team in the playoffs as they are at home). I expect them to regroup and play their best game of the series on Sunday. They will probably try to play a boring/trapping game and capitalize on any Hawk mistake/their scoring chances. Similar to what they did last year in gm5. Collapse around Luongo and frustrate the Hawks. Let Luongo see/make the first save and clear rebounds. Try to make it a 2-1 game. Hawks need to keep the pressure on by scoring as they have been..first 3 games, they had the same chances - just didn't score.
I think they are going to try to make it a slow...boring game on sunday. Try to frustrate the Hawks. Sunday is going to be the toughest game of the series. Kane/Toews time to bury some chances.
