I remember when we traded for Versteeg... I think I was the only one that was saying "Why get Versteeg, when you have Morin? This trade makes no sense."
Of course, everyone was too busy talking about the cap hit, blah blah blah, what a great deal, blah blah blah. The trade made very little sense then, and now, it definitely makes no sense. Steeger just isn't a top six forward like they're trotting him out to be. When Ben Smith has more goals than you, and Marcus Kruger is 1 pt behind you... and they play on the 4th line with no PP time, there's a problem with production.
Morin should get his chance, period. People might say Pirri had a bad attitude, but I'm sure most prospects would get pissed off if they were treated the same way. How much patience does Q want these guys to have? If Morin doesn't get a legitimate shot next year, I'm sure he'll be gone too because of "bad attitude" and I wouldn't blame him.
5 pts in his last 5 games. Averaging 11:41 TOI. At least he has increased his ice-time... before he was getting under 9 minutes a game! "Here's your chance kid! Make sure everyone is well hydrated since ya won't touch the ice!"</p>

The simple answer is to sit Bollig if Quenneville really wants to have Versteeg in the lineup.</p>
</p>
I know that won't happen because of energy, jam, protection, hitting, enforcing, blah blah blah.....</p>
