LOL what horrible rock do you live under?

I believe it's a place called Vancouver, I guess it used to be a nice city but it was destroyed by some riots or something.

Anyway, kind of a boring game tonight. Salak looked good, Emery definitely faced the better chances but didn't impress. I'm interested to see what these two can do with the hawks real lineup in front of them and playing some better players. I still think Emery wins the job, but Salak was impressive tonight.

Brandon Saad is an absolute steal of a draft pick, how the hell did he fall to the second round. Di Domenicco looked good as well.

On defense Leddy continues to impress, his progression over the last 3 years is remarkable and I think he's due for a breakout year. Looks bigger and faster out there as well.

Agreed on Leddy, he's going to play a big role for us this year.

Saad was fairly impressive as well.

Bad 3rd period. Can't wait to see a real roster. Boring hockey but still interesting.

I gotta say this wasn't one of Emery's best outings. That ones going to hurt him if you ask me. Not pinning all the goals on him but if he is allowing 4 goals from AHL caliber opposition in one period? It's not going to sit well with the coaching staff.

Agree on Saad. Said it in the chat it's going to be very hard to cut him even though the Hawks probably have to. A guy like Stalberg should be set aside for a guy like Saad. But then again Saad is simply playing against AHL caliber opposition but he is sticking out like a sore thumb at the same time.

Ray Ray faced some weird bounces tonight. I don't like his motion though, its very stiff. Rust or injury recovery? Or is that just Ray?

He has always struck me as a very loose goalie so not sure if that was really his style we saw tonight. He did face some rough bounces. He also let some very greasy rebounds and just didn't look overly confident tonight. Something Ray is known for when he is at his best.

Emery has always looked slow moving around his crease, that's been the biggest knock on his game for quite some time. Doesn't move side to side very well, however he does have very good reflexes and positioning

Like to see him play some of the late preseason games and see how he does. Impressive, so far.

As good as Saad has looked, I'd be surprised if he isn't sent back to Saginaw in the next 48 hours. Honestly I think if we weren't playing in his hometown tonight he probably would have gone back when McNeil and Danault did. Not saying the three can't play at this level, but they are better off playing with their junior teams. Nice move by the hawks though to let the kid play in front of his family and friends.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Well, in a first GCL didn't black out the game.

But I have to say while Emery didn't impress, the D breaking down that much was a bad sign.

I other news, the PK actually cleared the zone this game.

I liked what I saw from Frolik, Saad, Lepistopheles, and Salak.
