Awesome officiating again. Not sure what it's going to take to get Versteeg and Sharp off the ice, they have been a total fucking disaster this post season. There have been some real bright spots this season though, Ben Smith and Regin will both be with this team for a while. Regin isn't the most talented but he has something few other players on the team have anymore, hunger. If the Hawks don't come out absolutely possessed I vote for serious changes this off season.

Oh we have depth, they just aren't contributing shit. Too many players with zeros or 1's on the scoresheet in this series.

The Hawks have 9 forwards that belong in the NHL dressed tonight. That's not depth. That's garbage.

Contracts up this off season:

Brookbank

Handzus

Khabibulin

Raanta

Morin

Regin

Smith

Contracts up next off season:

Kane

Kruger

Leddy

Nordstrom

Oduya

Roszival

Rundblaad

Saad

Toews

We have a metric shit ton of contracts to sign next off season, this off season we don't have much to sign. Regin, Smith and Brookbank I think is all and I know a lot of people here would be happy to see Brookbank gone but he proved he can do the job while Seabrook was out. It would be great if we could trade Sharp but I think he's played so far below his contract we probably wouldn't be able to move him. Versteeg we could probably move. Roszival we could probably move. Bollig we could probably move but I think he's worth keeping around, again I know I'm kind of on an island with that thought.

Sharp is having a completely uncharacteristic playoffs for him. If some want to trade him for that, fine, but I wouldn't.

If LA played in a different conference then yeah we could maybe not do much, but we will have to go through them to win a cup so we have to make serious changes to beat them. It's not like the series has been remotely close, we need substantive changes. I'm not talking about drastic moves like moving Kane or Toews, I'm talking about moving guys who have been around but don't get the job done like Versteeg and Sharp. I actually think Zus has been pretty good, really good on PK, but he's probably got to go as well.

Dude, who knows what happens next year? If the Kings can make 4 WCFs in a row, then hats off to them. Every playoff is different though, anything can happen.

And Pez I agree with you completely, sometimes a team is just better. LA has earned their wins and you could say they are a better team, all the more reason to make some changes. If we can't establish a dynasty with a cup win this season Kane and Toews are going to cost a mint to keep. Tuevo can step right in for Zus next season which helps keep the finances in order for another year, but next off season is the one that's going to break the bank.

You can't put yourself in a position to take a penalty in the offensive zone on the PP, especially when LA has been handing you your ass on the PP and the PK. It's not like we've seen leniency from the refs.

He toe picked on Quick's toe lol. It was just a bad break. He was going to net for a rebound, something people were crying he wasn't doing enough of. Can't win I guess. We've seen plenty of stupid penalties, that wasn't one of them.
