I can't recall a game against Minnesota that hasn't attempted to put me to sleep.... I don't see how the boys do this every year.

I don't think it's as boring as it has been in past years... but still not at the entertainment level you'd like to see, for sure.

If Bryzgalov wasn't so terrible, this series would be much more interesting.

Style of play has a lot to do with it. I even slept during the Nashville/Minnesota game AT Bridgestone for crying out loud.

There's loads of non-playoff teams that would keep me awake... Edmonton, Toronto, Florida, the Islanders, Calgary...

If only Darcy Kuemper didn't get injured in Game 7, it might have been a more interesting series....

Not according to Kieth Jones, who at one point said Bryzgalov is stopping everything he should be. Was Bickells late 3rd period goal so much of a lazer he couldn't have gloved it. He had a clean look at what could have been a glove save.

That would've been a highlight reel glove save. Bickell has one of the hardest wrist shots in the league. You can't really blame Bryz for the goals that have gone in.

Nope, nor can you blame Minnesota's D, either. The Hawks are just that damn good.

Yeah I haven't seen too many bad goals, lot of them have been deflections, highlight reel type goals/plays. I mean, he made an incredible save on Hossa only to have Toews beat out Koivu, who stopped skating, and knock in the rebound. Not much you can do on plays like that as a goalie.

Actually according to Eddy he hooked Koi at center ice to get ahead of him. That Eddy, he's just a wonderful ****.

The next Lidstrom got benched in the playoffs?

Crawford has dealt with plenty of deflections, highlight reel plays, etc.. etc.. all playoffs and he has been able to come up with enough saves to win the game.

Bryzgalov doesn't do that.

I don't think he has let in any really bad goals yet, but at the same time, he hasn't made too many big saves. Maybe one or two all series. He's not an impact player... at this time of the year, he's just not good enough.

Of course, he had a shutout in game 3, but not too many scoring chances from the Hawks anyway. As long as the Hawks can put some pressure on offense, they should be able to generate enough scoring chances to win the game with Bryz in net.

With how close every game is in the NHL, every save is a big save. But he can't make up for things out of his control. When it comes to deflections, and what separates them from being a goal to a save or missed shot, a lot of times, is just blind pure chance or luck. He's not going to be the reason they lose this series, his team is. Not being able to contain Kane on that incredible move for his goal or Saad on his incredible move to get Hossa's tap in goal, Koivu, his captain, basically just giving up on a play against the last player on the ice you want to give any sort of advantage to, Stoner being an idiot, allowing multiple two on ones with the player that has hardest wrist shot on the team, etc. The Hawks outclass the Wild in every aspect. It doesn't matter who is in net, it's only a matter of time with how the Hawks can play.
