Just got the call from a buddy at the OKC game that Thabo is sporting a Josh Childress afro... may be interesting to see.

Haha, more incentive to watch the game besides hoping Charlotte loses.

May Thabo go wild tonight.

So far so good, Thunder are beating the Bobcats, Cavs beating the Sixers.

Boston beating Miami.

That would be way too exciting if we stole the 5th seed with this late season surge.

Miami doesn't have a cake walk.

They have left:

@ Boston (Boston leads series 2-1)
vs. New York (Series tied 1-1)
@ Atlanta (Atlanta leads series 2-1)
vs. Detroit (Miami leads series 2-1)

I don't think Miami will lose out, but it's definitely possible.

It would take something pretty special for them to lose out. They're clearly better than both teams that they play at home.

I look at that picture and it makes me want to see if I have any loose change to put into Thabos coffee cup.

compared to the last Bulls for.

I think Wallace has the better fro, but I like the fro on Sefolosha. It gives him some style, something to be more remembered by then the corn rows. He looks like a playoff from a different era with his hair like that.

I don't know. Thabo's fro seems to be a little thinner and wispier, not a "real man's" fro like Wallace's. But then again Thabo's mixed race with his Dad from South Africa and mom from Switzerland, so that's to be expected.

I wonder if having a fro helps at all on the defensive end by making it harder for guys to see around your massive head.

I was very surprised this afternoon when I hopped into my truck to go for lunch. I switched on the radio which is set to the Team 1040. The hosts where quite animated in their discussion of Tim Tomas missing the White House visit. My first thoughts where 'meh, big whoop'. But the banter continued and these guys started taking calls on the topic. I could not believe that they might even consider this newsy. I finished my lunch and drove back to work listening to them talking about how his (Tomas's) agent likely was not consulted and so on. Upon leaving work at 5, again I am stunned that they are still, or once again discussing this. Going now as so far to say that Tomas will need to be held accountable to his team / upsetting team chemistry / causing a rift in the locker room.... WTF? are you kidding me?

The most hilarious quote I thought was the host stating that "This is a meaty issue and will not be going away soon".

Good god I had the nucks media!

Is this a story anywhere else?

Isn't he the only American on the Bruins?

Using hockey as a political platform? Not too much a fan of that.

But hey, he had every "RIGHT" to do what he did.

I heard that Tim Thomas missed it, too.

I feel that if Thomas had something to say, he could have had a moment in DC.

It's his right, so-- oh well.

He's a tea partier, what did you expect. Petty, if you ask me. It's more about being there for your team than anything else. Did this sort of thing happen when GWB was in the WH?

It sure did happen when GWB was President. Ozzie Guillen was one didn't attend for sure - he went on vacation at the time and said he disagreed with the president on his policies. A few others during the Bush years didn't attend either. And of course the liberal media trumpeted it as 'exercising their constitutional right'. But when an athlete snubs Obama suddently it's all about rocking the boat, upsetting team chemistry, being disrespectful, etc.

I don't see the issue with it. He disagrees with the guy and wants nothing to do with him and to set it straight he didn't miss the event, he didn't attend. Missing it assumes he wanted to go and missed his plane or something
