As some of you may or may not know I’ve had anxiety / depression for quite some time and after seeing how CBD oil really reduced my brother’s joint pain (he has an auto immune disease that causes him some pretty bad joint pain) I did some research and noticed it is supposed to help with anxiety as well. I am heading over to the local hemp shop either tomorrow or Friday and was wondering if anybody here knew of any specific products they would recommend to help with anxiety. Thanks in advance guys.

It's not regulated so it's difficult to give advice to you but I'd ask the people at the shop what their best CHIT is and then buy it, then try to source it on the internet to save money if it works for you.

I will say this, that CBD takes a while to work in your system to make an impact. I would get the most potent stuff, try it daily in small dosages and see how you are doing after a couple of weeks, then adjust your dose up if it's not doing you much good.

As far as the THC side of things, if it's legal for you to get, follow the same advice as the above. If it's legal maybe skip the CBD route and just go for a strain that has a high CBD/THC ratio and get a little buzz too.

I would look more into a sativa for anxiety, rather than an indica. Beware that some strains can increase, or exacerbate anxiety. And also, if you are on any medication, or have spoken to a doctor regarding anxiety, let him /her in the weed loop you are considering.

High CBD and low THC may be where to start, to avoid the high. There are high CBD strains like ACDC and Remedy, and decent sativa strains like Jack Herer or high CBD hybrids like Canna Tsu.

Or you may want to just try CBD tinctures, or extracts.

It was weird I called the hemp shop today to ask specifically if their products had THC because I know it’s kinda sketch where I am, South Carolina, and she said the only restriction was I had to be over 18, which I am. Maybe it’s because it has “trace amounts” of THC.

Just smoke the natural weed. Cops don't care anymore
I have been curious about that... if I am a cop in illinois and I find someone with it I am just gonna toss it and tell em to wait a few months.

Gotta be a weird time for them to deal with it.

So, the cops are okay if you have weed, but a pound would be too much and cause the cops to act. But don't pull over if you have a pound, just keep driving away, and if and if you are well behaved the rest of the day the authorities will let your crimes slide?

Also get regular exercise, stretch every day (yoga if possible), and do breathing exercises. I was able to mitigate alot of the effects of anxiety doing these things. Good luck.

These are good points @WestCoastBearsFan . CBD/THC may help alleviate some anxiety, but won't address the root causes of it. And as I said, it can exacerbate those feelings. Do some reading for the things dennehy posted, and read up on recognizing the thought patterns that trigger your anxiety, and work to change those thought patterns, or shut them off, and replace with better ones.

Yep, it's all about breaking out of those ruts, at least for me. The brain, like everything else, runs on habit. Gotta reroute.

Thanks guys. It’s always been something I’ve “dealt with” since minor every day things can trigger the anxiety for me but recently it’s snowballed into another level. I think it’s me having a ton of shit on my plate that’s causing things to snowball.
