Came across this, I think from yesterday morning. Anyway….good read and I am more hopeful than ever he will be here next year, but sounds like it will cost us boozer. Interesting comments about floor spacing and Boozers defense,

funny but I just don't get that negative impression from Boozer when I watch games. He also is a great first quarter player and Thibs knows how to use him when he is fresh, then ice him early in the fourth when defense matters.

I'm cool either way on the Boozer issue, keep him or amnesty or trade. Whatever, but putting that money on a Mirotic is a definite big risk (Scottie, the big move you have been waiting for).

That article suggests the Bulls will pay him 10 million a season.

If he lives up to his hype, 10m is on par with his market value, heck, even cheap. My issue is, nobody should get double figures for being unproven in the NBA.

I've watched extensive video on Mirotic, and have been telling people that he is going to be a star for the Bulls for a while now. This is nothing new to me. Heck, Forman told me that the Bulls Love him.

There is no way the Bulls should pay a kid from the EURO 10 million a season. He needs to take a rookie type contract like the rest of the players have. I can see 4 years and 20 million. Anything more than that is ridiculous. It doesn't matter how good people think he is.

What if he ends being Bargnani, then you go from Boozer to cap hell for another PF who cannot live up to the contract.

No thanks.

If Mirotic signs for $10MM+ per season, I don't want anyone to ever ***** about what the Bulls paid Boozer or Noah again.

I think that quite a few fans still have the image of foreign players that are soft. Truth is while some still are, many others are not. One thing that I think foreign players can do as a rule compared to their American counterparts is to shoot the basketball. And also as a rule they can pass better better because that is how they are schooled in the game.

Mirotic is not a weak player. He has a mean streak in him and can both shoot and pass the ball. Rebounding is probably his weakest thing but with some guys who can clean the boards like the Bulls have, this shouldn't be a big detriment.

WIth the two draft picks that they are going to get in the draft, I can see then getting a legit back-up center and a legit scorer at either shooting guard or SF. Both 6,7, 8 guys off of the bench.
