well alot of those people who think "its the thing to do" are meatballs. been to enough conventions to not want to go anymore because of the fucking die hard meatballs and their zhmanov jerseys.

there is enough die hards that go that the place will be buzzing with pissed off fans if they dont do shit.

So you are agreeing with me? Bit confused here and it seemed like you disagreed at first just to do it.

As I said, I sit in the 100 level for 20+ games a year. No self assurance here as I don't sit in the 300 level and you seemed to just assume that so you could attempt to rip me one. The 100 level has plenty of suits and people who have no idea what is going on. As I said, many are there because it is the "it" thing. Clearly there are diehard fans that are in the 100 level, but I truly believe (and this is from personal experience so no throwing shit against the wall) that most 100 level fans are not diehards.

Well there seems to be the disconnect. We seem to have different definitions of what a "diehard" is.

there are die hards and die hard meatballs. meatballs are still considered die hards and arent there because "its the thing to do" they are just a type of personality that branches from a die hard. meatball fans, homer fans etc

see videos on "da bears" those are meatball fans, a personality of a die hard.

The main people ruining fan conventions are the autograph hawks out there. Guys that get things signed just to turn around and sell them on eBay or whatever. Saw a guy at a Bears Convention one year stand in line with a few of his kids who were under the age of 3, and that's probably over. When that guy gets up front and is having players sign one for him and then, "Oh, yeah, these are for my kids." Bullshit.

I went with the 2nd line center option

I picked a 2nd line center, but I know it won't happen.

We MIGHT pick up some spare part defender but my guess is that Bowman is going to say "when Carcillo and Montador were healthy at the beginning of the season we had the best record in hockey and we just had some back concussion luck," and stick with what we have.

And I'll still think he's a tard...

I think that they'll probably just do the filling out the roster thing, but I voted for 2C because that's what I really want.

And on the subject of fan conventions. There's tons of diehards there and its a great event. But theres some that are there just for the autographs.

I've never been to one before, so I guess I wouldn't know. But I know a lot of people that do go and they say that they're great and they meet other great fans.
