The Big Z Situation is Sad

Jim Hendry can be done with Z so easy but what about Pinella. I honeslty don't get it and can't wait till next season when Hendry and Pinella are gone.

i say why wait til next season start the changes now and start moving forward. Whats the worst that can happen??? We start losing more games? We already are doing that its time to fire sale and get some prospects and give some of the vet guys (that teams will take) a chance at a ring.

I think if the Cubs called up spects, they will win more games because those players will still want to win and show they have what it takes to sating in the big league unlike the vets who are getting paid and don't care anymore besides Byrd.

you took the words right out of my mouth there are plenty of guys here in des moines who would love to get a shot. Colvin i think needs to get some more playing time to fuk i think should be a vet we could trade away to a contender.

Kosuke should of been trade long time ago like in Aprilo while his trade stock is up but not it will be harder because he is struggling AGAIN.

Capuano RF
Jackson CF
Colvin LF

Camp or Vitters 3B
Lalli 1B
Barney 2B

There's not really power in that lineup but contact and speed.

i like the second lineup the only changes i would make is hoffpauir at first the guy can stick and not sold on vitters yet he has been slumping i would still hold on to rameriz at least for the rest of this year but deff give him a shot at the club next year.

Hoffpauir is alrady 30 and is hitting in the low 200's at Triple A.

I've always liked Big Z. But this shit is getting ridiculous. It's bad enough we are a bad team and embarrassing, But to have him do this? Thats even more embarrassing. It's time to either suspend him for good or release him.

The other side of this is maybe a 3 month season of frustration he has had with this team. Maybe blowing up will do something to motivate this team and go on a mini run.. imo though it's not gonna happen.

so easy? he is a repeat offender. this wasnt his first time. what jim and pinella stated are 100% correct. z is a waste of talent and a waste of money. i wander if z was going after lee because he thought that lee should have caught the 0-2 meatball pitch to quentin that got jacked out of the yard. Really? Lee didn't go after it? Did you see the replay? Lee made an attempt but here's the issue.

Lee was playing in for the bunt and he gets a ball hit hard at him. He is already closer to the ball by about what 6-7 feet? That is not an easy play to make. Big Z shouldn't have thrown a temper tantrum. Lee has been one of the most consistent Cubs since he has been with the team and he has been far more consistant than Zambrano. He needs to grow up.

I love Z and Lee but no one cares anymore because Pinella does not care. Why would players care when a manager does not. They wouldn't and it shows. Exception: Byrd.

I do agree with Brenly calling this... what was it, a dead ass team? That's a perfect description. Lou will more than likely be done after this year and then hopefully we can get a manager with some fire under his ass. This team has a lot of talent that is just going to waste.

And hopefully Hendry. This team has talent in the majors and minors. To bad the Cubs have to many OF or we might see Jackson give a shot.
