The criticism of Justin Fields has been unreal. The opinion of him here is relatively high, even. Go read what Bears fans elsewhere are saying. Half of them think he's worse than Trubisky.

I think people are just stupid. You cant fully evaluate a QB after 6 starts. I don't think your average casual fan/box score and fantasy football monkey understand that.

I dunno. The Bears are shit, but I think Fields will develop. We just need to escort Nagy out of the building ASAP. And we need some fucking patience.

I hope that Fields is good enough that we can all become arrogant fucking idiots like Packers fans. ?

Count my dad among those. There's definitely something with the older generation (60's and older) that just is total meatball - they still think the McCaskeys are cheap despite them spending as much as any other team (now whether they spend it wisely is another argument).

I think the years of seeing bad Bears football has just gotten to them.

Most of them got to experience 2 championships, while the rivals got 4 Super Bowl trophies and few other NFL championship(too lazy to PFR it). I think most are burnt out. It's still entertainment to me, whether the team is good/bad.

see I was right, I said they were toothless dudes with mantits last night.

I haven't experienced like 60 years of this shit like some people, but in the 30 some odd years of social awareness I just know the Bears are perennially destined to make some catastrophic mistakes somewhere. like 2005-2006, ok the defense was awesome, but the offense was a major blemish... and that's when the patchwork FA offensive line was actually good, Thomas Jones was great, and the receivers were whatever. Ron Turner and the QB corp. were the issue. then they lose the Super Bowl and what was actually good was blown up for no reason. the latter day Ditka/Wannstedt/Jauron period still hurts the most, even with their random playoff runs to nowhere. Trestman and Nagy have nothing on that. I'll take that to the grave.

"It's worth noting that the Bears and their quarterbacks have made sure this group is undefeated for the past 70 years."

Why expect anything different?

Try being a fan of the Bears and the Illini. The whole damn weekend turns into a blur.

Personally, I will change my perception when something actually changes with the organization.

We are a .375 win percentage team on a 3 game skid. The only reason we are not in last place is because the Lions are 0-8.

This 0-8 team has scored more points than us overall.
Yikes. And we're the 4th worst team in scoring.

I would like to see another editorial. The brains of the Bears owners, coaches, and management are broken!

The middle is where rational exists. You can be bad without everything being bad or good without everything being good and that's usually the case.

That is simply the most brain dead article I've read this year.

Who cares about how many times Green Bay has won a title? I've never said "Well the Packers have Rodgers and have only 1 Super Bowl".

That is assinine.

Just focus on CHICAGO and chide fans for our behavior regarding the QB that plays for CHICAGO.

The Packers have eaten our lunch for more than 20 years now doing it with 2 QB while the Bears have fielded almost 30.

That is a fact. Would I prefer it to be the other way around yes. I would GLADLY have our team go 1 and 4 in the NFC championship. FACT.
