Sure they will, just like they JUMPED at the chance to play with the best PG in the league, right?

Oh wait, they didn't.

Easy to say that when last year no one knew Rose was goog yo establish himself as the best PG in the league and this year they only had 5M to spend so they were limited. Oh and didn't Joe Johnson want to play for the bulls and take less? Didn't Boozer sign with us when he probably could have taken more from NJ?

Also Chicago w/ Rose and Howard is more attractive than Chcago with Rose and role players but I guess you're not into the whole common sense thing.

Great point about Rose being a hidden gem before the start of the 10-11 season. Sick of people acting as if LeBron, A'mare, Bosh and Co. turned down a guy (DRose) who was coming off of a MVP season. They rejected the idea of playing with an improving PG who didn't have much else around him (including after they signed Boozer).

It was clear that Lbj/bosh/wade all had a plan that dated back long enough to were Miami was the only option.

Yeah.

So, since you don't agree with me, you just attack me personally, Great job Anytime.

So you think people will be lining up around the corner to play here? Okay, good luck with that. And bringing up Joe Johnson who signed to stay with his team for WAY more money is a very bad example. Boozer was a great signing on paper, but looking at his lack of effort on defense makes it a terrible signing. He can't even use injury as an excuse for his play.

So, you're not trying to win this year, but 2 or 3 years from now? When we have a team that can win it this year? And you talk about me not having common sense.

Rose with a ring is more attractive than Rose and Howard with none.

You have any physical evidence that they planned to play together in Miami before the 2010-11 season? To this day, I've never seen/read any actual proof that they had no intentions of playing anywhere else but Miami.

I'm not attacking you, you're just sounding like an idiot. First you're telling everyone that the "smart fans" are the ones that agree with you so you're basically insulting thousands of other fans in the process. Great job Glide. You're also talking out of your ass saying no one wanted to come here because I already gave you examples of people wanting to come here. Joe Johnson wanted to come to Chicago but the Bulls did not want to commit to him. They waited for the big 3 so Johnson took the safe route.

I'm talking about winning for the next 10 years, not the next 2 baring a 100% healthy squad. Yes you lack common sense in this case. Your opinion isn't the right one, it's your opinion.

Dont insult everyone else's intelligence and cry bc I said you lack common sense. Best C by default lol. 20-15 don't lie

I never said that they were smart because they agreed with me.

You extrapolated that from what I actually said. And if I'm sounding like an idiot for wanting to keep this team together, then so be it.

He is the best by default. 20 and 15 didn't mean shit in 2009. You know, when he made it to the Finals and lost to the Lakers. Oh and I wasn't insulting everyone's intelligence just because I said that people who want to keep the squad as is smart.

What makes you more right than me? Just because you want Howard and I don't?

That doesn't make any sense at all.

I'm just tired of seeing Bulls fans begging year after year for big name FA's that have no interest in playing here, or to only use our team as bargaining leverage only to go with another team anyway.

It's sickening. Get behind this team and stop trying to be an armchair GM.

I'm behind this team no matter what. That doesn't mean I'm content with being in the ECFs. I want finals, championships, banners, the whole nine yards. Yeah what a horrible fan for wanting my team to have Howard, take away my bulls card. I guess supporting them year in and year out while being 1200+ miles away isn't enough.

Never said my opinion was the right one. You did by calling the people who agree with you smart. No way to cut it, you insulted everyone. Oh and his meaningless 2009 got him father than we have been with our current team. He did that without a Derrick Rose.

My issue with you is telling us what we think. For me it's not a flavor of the month, its not a loss to the Heat or any of the garbage you suggest. Howard isn't a flavor, he's a centerpiece that you add flavors too. I'm giving up everyone but Rose for him and add whatever else over the next year or two.

See, I never said that either. You have a way of misconstruing words man. I don't want to gut this team to get howard. Sue me.

Again with the misconstruing. I said they were smart people because they favored keeping the team as is. It just happens that I agree with them.

Howard IS the flavor of the month. Maybe not with you. But with a majority of Bulls fans who go gaga and beg for EVERY FA that comes up, despite them having no interest in coming here and even going so far as to say so.

I don't tell you what you should think.

Well after reading some of this thread I'm seemingly in the minority. I'm going to say this. The Bulls get rid of anyone and everyone that is not named Derrick Rose on the roster if it nets Dwight Howard. Anyone else I could consider stupid to an extent (though I won't) as Dwight and Rose gives you the 2 things every NBA team covets. A dominant 1 and 5 on a team (both of whom are the best at their positions at the NBA).

I'm just in shock that people would probably be content with being the Jazz of the east.
I honestly do feel the bulls would stand a chance a against the heat in a 7 game series. But when push comes to shove I really feel they would just get slapped back down in 5-7 games and they'd be Utah all over again.

I really feel you do w/e the hell you can to get Howard here (outside of trading rose) if that is a legitimate possibility. It just makes sense. But hey I could be crazy, but they need a legitimate 2nd option, and Howard would take more pressure off of rose than we could even imagine.

It's not a flavor of the month bc ppl are talking about it. When word comes out that Howard doesn't want to stay in Orlando people with talk. When Chicago becomes a possibility, people will talk more. No ones talking about us getting LeBron James but if he demanded a trade to Chicgo for Deng and Noah, people will start talking about it.

This isn't some random player who's put together a stretches of good games. Not like last years FA where some Bulls fans mentioned random SGs and PFs they knew nothing about. Every week there were flavors.

No misconstruing. Saying they were smart bc they voted or the same thing you believed is insulting to everyone who disagrees with you.

You really think that Howard is willing to be a second option?

Well you're not in the minority. Most Bulls fans want to gut the team to get Howard and mail it in this year and possibly next year also.

Fine, let Howard be the first option. Rose wouldn't care.

So, when he signs somewhere else or is traded somewhere else. Who will be the new FA or soon to be FA that we are going to obsess over?

Who's coming up for summer 2012 besides Howard?
