30% of Iowa's energy comes from Wind with that number coming closer to 40% in the next few years. Enough to power 6.3 million homes. They are all along I-80 which goes right through the middle of the state. Farmers rake in the tax credits for each turbine that is put on their land. It has contributed to 11.8 billion towards the states economy. They look ugly, but there isn't much else to look at besides corn lol.

Yea, the only problem with the wind turbines is that they are federally subsidized. If they were a working business model they would make a lot more sense to me and I think they would pop up even faster than they are.

I also do not like the fact that they sign 20 year leave behind leases, so after 20 years they abandon them and move on to the next one. Just doesn't make sense financially to me.

Yes he did... on January 25th 2006, at the sun dance film festival.

Dr. Edwin X Berry is a physicist and Certified Consulting Meteorologist for the American Meteorological Society. His expertise is in physics, atmospheric physics, meteorology, climatology, and numerical models

From Wikipedia (I am not responsible for any sources they quote):

In 2007, Harris Interactive surveyed 489 randomly selected members of either the American Meteorological Society or the American Geophysical Union for the Statistical Assessment Service (STATS) at George Mason University. The survey found 97% agreed that global temperatures have increased during the past 100 years; 84% say they personally believe human-induced warming is occurring, and 74% agree that "currently available scientific evidence" substantiates its occurrence. Only 5% believe that that human activity does not contribute to greenhouse warming; 41% say they thought the effects of global warming would be near catastrophic over the next 50–100 years; 44% say said effects would be moderately dangerous; 13% saw relatively little danger; 56% say global climate change is a mature science; 39% say it is an emerging science."

It sounds like Dr. Edwin X Berry is a very intelligent, knowledgeable, credible source of information on Climate science. His findings are in the 5% minority, in science it is almost impossible to get 100% agreement, it's good to have skeptics, even if they are in such a tiny minority. Keep them honest.

Oh I don't disagree... But Al was wrong.

Over the past 100 years it's got warmer... agree... prior to that?
Man has an impact on warming... agree... how much?

It's tragic what we do to our planet.
I just try not to run off a cliff over someone yelling the sky is falling on global warming, the gov taking guns, killer bees, the ozone, immigration, etc.
It takes away from what you're saying.

You're just terrible. All those hard working people generating all that delectable click bait. I read a study that estimates 27% fewer people running off cliffs, thanks Monster.

My bad... It's Friday.

We are fucking up our planet... don't need science to see that... just go fishing... or really look at any area that's not for tourists.

Man is a nasty, dirty, greedy, polluting life form.
The good news is Mother Earth will one day shake us off and give the next dominate species a shot.

Google how much plastic we're dumping in the ocean. Horrifying.

But hey, we're consumers. We don't worry about the fact humans won't last another 100 years.

Not enough... He didn't get the carbon tax passed that would have made his company billions.

He sure tried though. You'd think he has enough $ already.

How do you feel about vaccines?
They're bad for ya but, still, there are some dopes who think mixing disease with known toxins and then injecting it into people, is a good thing. I think you're all insanely stupid and don't want to be anything like you.

Hey the climate changed today

It's going to be exciting when the climate doesn't change. No more hurricanes, no more droughts, will be great times indeed.
