Lions won titles in the 1950's you don't see me bragging about that
Sure because you were probably the only one on these boards alive back then to enjoy it. Plenty of us saw 85 and 06.

He's in LAR - think he goes with Vrabel, he's his right hand man.

This whole situation with Poles is so f-ed up. Is he staying is he going. Is he getting an extension or is it a lame duck show me situation.

No one who’s any good is coming here because this is one of the most idiotic organizations in every spot
. That includes pop warner.

Interesting that a bunch of the guys with head coaching experience have ties to the Pats-Vrabel, Kingsbury(IR as a QB in '03), Flores and Carroll.

Thinking it frees up Vrabel to the Bears?
Johnson is my #1 and Vrabel #2. I think it gives the Bears a good shot at one of them. I also like Flores as a potential head coach again, but not for the Bears.

Ultimately, we would get to see how Maye is developed under Flores compared to whatever the Bears do, and it would be a fun exercise to witness.

I hope Flores is able to get a HC opportunity and redeem himself, but I prefer to have an offensive minded HC. If we were to go the defensive route, Vrabel has more proven success.

I don't care if we go offensive or defensive for the head coach but there are multiple defensive candidates that i worry about if they can attract or find a legit OC. Vrabel and Carroll are the two i worry least about for that but guys like Flores and Glenn worry me. If we go defensive then they have to find a legit guy that's done it before IMO.

I'm not too worried that the offensive guys will be able to find a legit DC but i do worry that the Bears could 100% be the last team that finds their next HC and by then the bigger names like R.Saleh, Dennis Allen and others will be long gone by then. This is something that Poles, Cunningham and Warren should be thinking ahead about but they've already said they're in no hurry to hire their HC.

You’re kidding, right? The Bears are the most black organization in the league. The entire front office is black.

There current coaching staff is lead by all black people.

The QB is black.

The Bears are the least discriminating team in the history of the game!

I actually think Gruden would be a interesting hire.
me too.

This clip is just part of that conversation with Fitzpatrick. If you listen to the whole thing, I would say it is too risky to hire Flores at this time with a developing young QB. How can the Bears be sure Flores does not revert back to that dictator style of coaching he learned under BB?

That was more acknowledging hia past issues but saying he is a great guy who has learned from his past mistakes.
No, he says he HOPES Flores has learned from his past mistakes. That is a big hope, and too risky for the Bears.

Its crazy to me that anyone would think that Brian Flores would be a good fit for this Bears team....his QBs hate him.

Go down with that ship Remy.

He's saying he hopes he's learned from his mistakes and i'd put money on that he hasn't spoken to him. I actually didn't think it was as bad as i thought it was going to be because he said a lot of good things about him.

Don't know how you can overlook the risk though. Getting all the power that comes with being the head coach isn't for everyone and i'd hate to be that team that hires him only to find out he's still that guy, but on the other hand you could hire him and hit big with him cause he could be a great head coach, the risk is too much for the Bears though IMO.
