I don't know anything about bikes, so I wouldn't know the difference. Looks like they have 30 different brands I never knew made bikes... Is Schwinn still around? Or do they suck too?

Schwinn is still around and is still good. They have some low-end and high-end bikes, for all types of people that are bike snobs and non-snobs.

I really want a Dutch street bike. They look so cool and European. Might be the year for a new bike.

Schwin is still around I assume they are still good in areas, but I'm just looking for a road bike for commuting, and all they have reallyl is Tour de France brand.... really... that's a thing.

I haven't bought a bike in forever, the last one I bought was a nice mountain bike I got off my brother and was stolen out of my parking garage somehow....

Time to visit your friendly neighborhood bike dealer then....

If your planning to put significant miles on a bike commuting or riding for exercise I'd spend a bit more for better quality components than you will get at big box retailer. If you just want something to ride around the block once in a blue moon or collect dust in your garage, the big box retailer is just fine.

See, to me, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a bike from a garage sale and one that costs $600... I don't see the point... as long as you can ride it what does it matter? I ask that with sincerity... I don't know anything about it.

The main difference is going to be in the quality of the components (brakes, deraileurs, sprocket/spindles, wheels, axles ect...). One chro-moly frame isn't much different than another, regardless of brand. And even at $600 your probably getting a chro-moly frame. Big box retailer bikes are going to have crap components in general.

GNC is having a sale today... $29.99 for select products.

There are some pretty good products on there, anyone who's looking to stock up on their protein shakes/powder might want to take a look. They have some Whey Proteins, Soy Proteins, BCAA, Creatine, and plenty of other powders. Here is a complete list of what is available:
  • Diet Support (29)
  • Herbs & Natural Remedies (12)
  • Sports Nutrition (97)
  • Vitamins (74)

Check it out here if you want to take a look... the offer ends tonight. If you're running low on supplements, might be a good time to catch a deal if they have something that you buy regularly. If not, don't sweat it, there will always be another sale, just remember the product line changes every sale.

None of the other sponsors have anything else worthy of posting, unless you are a woman and need thermal clothing or want 10% off... lol.

If there's anything specific you want me to look out for, let me know.

I haven't looked at any promotional offers lately, but I was going to buy something from GNC and thought I'd check and see what our affiliates are offering as far as discounts for IHN members. I also stumbled upon some stuff for Sports Authority. I figured I'd share in case anyone was planning on making a purchase from these companies anyway.</p>
