RE: Sutton, Dunn
NT: Ratliff, Ferguson
LE: Washington

No bodies and no experience at 5 technique, add in a disturbing lack of size and the Bears need help.

OLB: Young, Allen, Bass
MLB: Bostic, Greene
MLB: Jones, Lattimore
OLB: McPhee, Houston, McClellin

The Bears have an epic amount of inexperience at MLB, and no elite pass rusher. Young and Houston are injury wild cards, Allen and McClellin are wastes of roster space and the only guys I am excited about are McPhee and Bass.

CB: Fuller, Jennings, Hurst, Louis-Jean

Need some depth but there are 2 starters here and a nickle with experience.

FS: Vereen
SS: Rolle, Mundy

DESPERATLY need a FS.

Before someone says it I think Ferguson and Ratliff would play together with on replacing Sutton at DE.

But Ferguson is unproven and Ratliff has major injury and age concerns.

I think we should of signed Henry Melton to play 5-tech. Not sure what type of contract he got but I think he would of been a valuable piece in Fangio's D.

It will be interesting to see if they try and shop Sutton. I agree with Cagbro on Melton.

Why is Washington penciled in at LE?

I'm not really worried about a NT this year, even if that huge fucker from Washington is sitting there at 7. I'm more concerned with who's going to play the ends. I like that white dude you always have in your mocks and what about Ray Drew also in the 4th or 5th.

Curious as well, when he was drafted he was labeled as a 3-4 OLB pass rusher with good speed. Feel like his speed would be wasted trying to put him at DE.

With that being said, I don't really see a 5 tech on our roster, with the possibility of Ferguson or Ratliff like mentioned above.

I think we should put ferguson at end on some downs. He has the size and strength for it

I don't get why people keep mentioning size when it comes to what Fangio tends to have at DE. His ends in SF were 6'4 290. Actually, from what I've read, his whole front 7 was on the smaller side.

I doubt we'll be signing any 335 pound DE's.

This. Randy Starks might be an option at 5-tech.

Ferguson is listed as 310, and it would put him and ratliff on the field at the same time. I think he has the athleticism to pull it off

If there are guys who want to keep playing in the NFL then their asking price is going to come down.

Washington played the 5-technique at Georgia, and that's where he looked the best.
