Yes, FT is assin' it up but the facts are on his side in this one. The Knicks aren't horrible defensively right now and the Suns were definitely a legitimate title contender (arguably screwed back in 2007 vs. SAS). They weren't so terrible defensively either.

I agree Phoenix was robbed in 07 and justice was served because Donagy got locked up.

No, the eastern conference isn't any more interesting than it was opening day.

This is flat out stupid. The Pacers and Philly are obviously better than people expected and the Knicks just signed JR Smith and now seemingly have found a great PG for their system.

You know what would make the EC interesting? A Dwight Howard trade to the Bulls. I don't see that happening though, so the EC will remain at the same hype level as it has been.

We need to make this happen, especially since we lost yesterday. It proves this team isn't good enou to win the title. I mean seriously we have no hope of winning the title if we don't gut the team now and bring Howard in.

He's the key and we will never lose a game and sweep the playoffs. Fo fo fo fo.

Make it happen!

So again I ask...

you wouldn't trade Noah, Taj and the Charlotte draft pick for Howard?

If it was left to just that, I wouldn't really have a problem with it. But it'll take gutting the team and I'm not really on board with that, but if a move HAS to be made, might as well go for it. Sacrifice this year, and wait another.

But the reality is that it might cost us guys like Taj, Asik, Noah, possibly Deng and the Pick to get him and Turkoglu which to me isn't a fair deal.

Okay...just making sure. If I was Orlando, I would definitely try to get Deng, but Noah, Taj and possibly the rights to Mirotic might have to do. Hedo wouldn't be bad coming off the bench...

Howard is a better player than Noah and Taj combined in my opinion. Howard has had 7 20pt-20reb games this season. Has Taj and Noah had that many points combined in how many games this year? I would be surprised if they had 7 games like that.

You're right, but his contract will lock the Bulls up flexibility wise. That's my problem with it.

I'd have to look, but Noah has been getting his boards lately (yesterday not withstanding). Losing those guys is like losing your heart and soul. Those guys are also decent FT shooters, so we'd lose a lot from that. Howard does give you great numbers but I feel like gutting the team isn't the solution. If it's just Noah, Taj, Char pick, and maybe Mirotic, then I might be okay with it.

The east belongs to the bulls and heat. And currently more to the heat. What remains to be seen is the bulls over taking that position.
