Skyrim 1.6 Update Adds Mounted Combat on Xbox 360

Still playing Skyrim? Gearing up for Dawnguard? Bethesda has posted the 1.6 patch for Xbox 360 users. The auto-download adds mounted combat, meaning you can now smash spiders while galloping across the plains on the back of Shadowmere.

The patch also adds support for the upcoming Dawnguard expansion pack and fixes a host of bugs

once you get back in you get hooked. I have taken a break too. I gotta do the same.

Yep, its always been like that with the Elder Scrolls games. I think i didnt even get tired of it, i just really want to delay beating the game.

im kinda the same way. I go for all the 100000s of misc quests as lame as some of them are so I dont beat the game right away.

Autosave FTW

Has saved me (no pun intended) multiple times. Was worth the lag I had to go through before the 1.4 patch came out and fixed most of my problems.

Skyrim: Dawnguard Review - IGN

9 Presentation
Dawnguard retains Skyrim’s intuitive, user-friendly interface – though now you can use Kinect to effectively add more hotkeys if you like.

8 Graphics
This world is still a pretty one to look at, though the new areas –particularly the large Soul Cairn netherworld –range from same-y to bland and dull. The framerate drops are annoying.

7 Sound
We didn’t hear any new music, and the same crop of familiar voice actors return for extra duty.

8 Gameplay
More newness awaits on the vampire side of things, but big, incredible battles await either way.

8 Lasting Appeal
It’s at least eight hours per play-through, and Dawnguard is easily worth replaying to see both story threads.

8/10 Overall

damn, when is dawnguard coming out on ps3?

Most likely never. Bethesda and Sony had been working on getting it fixed, but last I heard they can't even get Dawnguard to run on the PS3.

On 11/5 Bethesda will be announcing their next (and 3rd) DLC for Skyrim.

Titled "Dragonborn", or so the rumors say.
