Matt Miller said he spoke with numerous NFL people and each one said that he is too slow footed and see him taken in the 20's as a guard.
Miller also had him rated as his top tackle too. He will soon be changing that.
This is why his rankings and draft projections are so low. Time to move him off the possible 10 list.

Imagine how good the lions would have been if they drafted Carter and Jaxon Smith Njigba instead of Gibbs and a off ball linebacker who cant defend the pass.

Get a great OL and any RB can be good. Even that rando craig reynolds on the lions averaged 4.5 yards a carry
Interesting. Even a "slow white' RB like Cam-Skat?

I'm not even sure Jeanty is truly worth a top ten pick. Definitely don't think Hampton is.

This is a really, really deep RB draft. Wouldn't this be a poor allocation of high draft capital?
No, Hampton is one of the fastest rising players at any position in the draft. Absolutely fits Johnson's offense at 6-0 221 with speed, power and burst. Probably the only position on this offense that can step in day one as a starter. We all know Johnson wants to run the hell out of the ball, may as well take one of the top tier RBs.

Hunter or trade for a ton from a team to come up and get Hunter but think you can't pass on a talent like Hunter even if WR and CB aren't the biggest needs.

Heard the same thing about it being his feet that will make him drop if he does drop.

I don’t think he’s the 4th best. He started 3 seasons at a top school. Actually played LT and has acceptable measurements. And he’s healthy. This reeks of media overthinking things to me
Did you actually watch his tape though, it’s not great. ESP against top edge rushers. Much rather have Josh Simmons than Banks, even with injury history.

Simmons would be ideal in a trade down. He becomes your swing tackle and likely takes the job from Jones for the next decade on the left side imo.

If it is DL................Grant, he is a monster.
I'm definitely down with Grant but i don't think we can come out of this draft without another DE that can rush the passer, unless poles scrapes another $5 - $10 mil out of that 90K for a Mathew Judon or another vet DE.

Did you watch his tape? Which games are you speaking about?

He gave up 4 sacks and 34 pressures in 43 college starts. He gave up one sack in 2024 and 10 pressures. I think you really haven’t watched him play too often.

If I'm forced to pick in this thread, I take Ward and field offers. Should also be pretty easy to take a trade down with both Ward and Hunter still on the board but they likely won't be,

I'm hoping somebody of need falls because the board gets rather horizontal at 10 if the likely players are gone. Maybe take a flyer on a guy like Stewart that can move inside on passing downs.

Would prefer to trade down but if they’re staying at 10, give me Pearce Jr in this scenario

I did, and the stats look better than the tape imo. When you watch his tape against Georgia & Ohio St you notice him getting walked into the qb multiple times, he drops his head and lunges towards defenders throwing off his balance, his feet are average to slow. Lots of things that won’t work at the nfl level. I’m happy to be wrong, but I don’t see a top tackle in Banks. I think Simmons will have a better career, but only time will tell.
