I had a hot dog and a grilled cheese at Steak and Shake today. I forgot to ask about condiments and got it as is. The damn hot dog had mustard and catsup on it, nothing else. WTF. Not even onions, but catsup?!?! I was hungry and in in a hurry so I ate most of it. Other than that it wasn't bad. The bun was grilled and the hot dot split length-wise and grilled too.

If you live in Chicago there are 1 billion great hot dog places and 400K great Gyro places, no excuse.

Vienna Beef are the best, buy Hebrew National is good, Daisy also makes good hot dogs but I doubt they are available in FLA. and shipping costs are crazy.

Thanks. Vienna is my preference, but you can't buy them down here (in a store anyway). Can order online, but the shipping charges are also ridiculous. We have a couple restaurants you can get them locally, but I was looking for something I could make at home.

I was getting tired of their burgers, and with the 2 for $3 going on I got to try the grilled cheese and hot dog (I mean "steak dog") for cheap. The grilled cheese was on sour dough bread and actually really good. Arby's gyros aren't bad, but not "great".
