Joe Bertrand will miss most of the offseason due to shoulder surgery.

Josh Davis, who averaged 18 and 11 at Tulane last year, has Illinois in his top four for possible transfer destinations. Illinois is up against Iowa State, Pitt and Gonzaga for his services.

Would be a huge pick up.

totalbasketballstats.com only goes back to 1980, but since 1980 we've had no one average a double-double. Closest we've had was Ken Norman in 86-87 with 20.7 & 9.7, Eddie Johnson in 80-81 with 17.2 & 9.2, Mike Davis in 09-10 with 10.7 & 9.2, and James Augustine in 05-06 with 13.6 & 9.1.

Just got a huge transfer in Aaron Cosby from Seton Hall. Cosby visited Illinois today, and was supposed to visit Mizzou next, but that won't be happening now.

Cosby is a 6'3" SG that can play PG if needed. He will have to sit out a year because he was only a sophomore last year.

He averaged 12.6 PPG this past season, but more importantly, shot 40% (66-165) from 3.

Big pickup. Too bad he can't play for a year though.

According to Marcus Jackson, Illinois State forward Jon Ekey has committed to transfer to Illinois for his 5th year. That's three 5th year guys in a row.

Bradley point guard Sam Maniscalco
Coastal Carolina power forward Sam McLaurin
Illinois State forward Jon Ekey

He's pretty much going to be Tyler Griffey 2.0

Illinois just announced naming rights to Assembly Hall. It's now known as State Farm Center. Love it.

According to his twitter, Darius Paul, little brother of former Illini Brandon Paul, will be transferring to Illinois.

Paul won MAC freshman of the year this past season, after averaging 10.4 ppg and 5.7 rpg.

He's nothing like his brother though. Darius is a 6'8" 220 lb forward.

He'll have to sit out a year, then will be eligible to play 3 years in 2014.

Had interest from Florida, Missouri, USC, and Marquette as well.

Sounds like Myke Henry will also be transferring from Illinois. That'd make four transfers this offseason.

He was the one guy on the team that didn't seem to fit in Groce's system. Too big and slow to play SF, too small to play PF.

If this happens, he'll have two years left to play.

And Illinois could be adding another transfer in Ahmad Starks from Oregon State. He'd need to apply for a hardship waiver though to be eligible.
