+1.

I really like Fred's podcasts. His rant about injuring his hand in pick up basketball and not being able to compete at the "top level" in Guitar Hero a few months back was hilarious.

I may not always agree, but I enjoy Fred's energy and passion that he brings to his podcasts.

Perhaps they are referring to Fred's ranting portions of the podcasts. If not, you have a point. Give the man some credit, he does do at least half the work on the podcast. Speaking of which, where is part 2 of episode 67?

I think part of the reason Fred does the rant is that since there so far away its hard to do podcast. Secondly I haven't really recalled Mark pissing off Fred recently since maybe his profession of his love for Zach Randolph

I don't have a problem with the rants, in fact I love them. Yes he repeats himself and calls people names but that just shows how enraged he is and his passion. I am often the same way and calling them what they are is not wrong. Also I think people in the world today need to lighten up a bit, they have complaints about everything. Why do you want him to stop yelling? Turn down your volume then. And the quality isn't that bad that you can't listen to it, I don't quite understand that, its not that big of a deal I am sure they can fix it.
Everything Fred said was a solid argument and pretty much was correct imo. We often pay way too much attention to the way someone is saying something than to what they are actually saying, people are different and that's what makes this world great. Keep ranting Fred!!

Thank you so much Fred for saying that everyone underestimates Shaq. Please people read a book written by MR. STATS ELLIOT KALB titled: WHO'S BETTER, WHO'S BEST IN BASKETBALL?

In this book Mr. Stats concedes that Michael Jordan is the greatest of all time. But in this book he tries to shape the best argument for the closest player to him. In other words if you were in a debate and you drew the side to argue against MJ as the greatest who would you choose?

Mr. Stats' answer for the 2nd greatest player of all time is SHAQUILLE O'NEAL. He explains why and breaks down the top 50 players in order 1 through 50. Very thorough and it would really open up the eyes of a lot of Shaq haters.

SHAQ, THE GREATEST CENTER OF ALL TIME, 2ND BEST PLAYER EVER.

I love Freds rants. Not only do I agree and most of the time he is 100% correct, I find them quite entertaining. If you dont too bad

I listen to Fred's podcast from time to time. Sure he rants a lot but guess what -- you don't have to listen to it. Either fast forward to the next segment of his show or don't subscribe to it. Fred is pretty up front with his opinions so it doesn't take long to figure out if you want to listen to it or not. If you want a different flavor of podcast there are other Bulls podcasts to pick from. I am not always in the mood for what Fred offers, but I am not sure why he has been called out on it either. He does it for free and you listen to it (or not) for free.

his rants are part of the show, you don't have to listen to them if you're going to complain. imo, just need to speak a little bit clearer sometimes, only problem.

I don't think it hurts to make a complaint, maybe the way it was made makes the complaint unappreciated but a listener can complain...whether wrong info is being put out there or the way information is being put out there. Those who listen to the product have a right to say what they feel about it. Nothing is wrong with that...

This is great stuff. It took me a while to read it all.

Mark, I acknowledge you as part of Bullseye. Your tireless work doesn't go unnoticed by me B)

Fred, keep ranting on local media. I actually haven't listened yet, but I have a good idea. That's the beauty of podcasting, the fans now have a voice and don't have to just listen to the talking heads on the radio or TV.

I was the guy who hurt his pinky (it was actually fractured, and healing very slowly) playing basketball. I had to go to a Rock Band/GH party the next night and it really hampered my ability to play. I play on expert so I have to use my pinky a lot.

Since I started the thread, I will chime here in late once more.

Fred, I too am "deeply saddened", by your remarks.
Look, I just think you ought to find some topics to build shows
around that are NOT taking ONE STUPID THING, THAT ONE GUY, SOMEWHERE
SAID, and making that the basis of your shows.

You simply give credibility to their comments and existence actually.
You give your valuable time to the analysis of morons and what they
say. Great. We all know it, and it's boring.

Lastly, to the posters who offer the very obvious alternative of simply
not listening, yeah, thanks, got it guys. And I did not even need your posts
to figure this out. DOH! That's exactly the same conclusion I have reached, but
thanks anyway. HOWEVER, as one poster pointed out, I got the right to voice an
opinion here, it is a FORUM, remember? Look, I listened to podcasts for several
months, commented on Fred, and now, will opt out from his podcasts, as a few of
you suggested.

Still think Fred ought to find some topics or material to cover that is NOT,
so-and-so is an idiot, cause he said such-and-such. Who cares what some lamers
who know nothing have to say? A mention, ok, but rambling rants? Boring...

P.S. My first Bulls game was with my father. Lineup was, Love, Sloan, Walker, Van Lier, Boerwinkle team, so, yeah, been following the stuff a while. If Fred would rather, I can refrain from posting, and leave that to the 15 year olds posting drivel here... No problem.

While it may be "therapeutic" (you spelled it wrong), it does not necessarily make
for very interesting broadcasting.
Perhaps a therapist?
Just sayin' :)

I dont think you should stop posting....more the merrier but at the same time as much haters fred gets he gets an equal amount of supporters

I not only find it entertaining & funny, but i also find it necessary. What Fred says is right, these frauds in the media influence others & as Sam Smith has said fans opinion has more impact than you think in terms of moves organizations do. & these drones could be a huge factor as to why JR refuses to pay Ben his due!

KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO FRED I LOVE IT!

First of all, no one has even remotely suggested that you should stop posting. You took your shots at me and made your points. Some people disagreed, and they posted their points. Who told you to stop posting?

The media has a responsibility to provide facts to back up their arguments. I think it’s EXTREMELY important to point out media statements/editorials/audio commentaries lacking in fact, especially regarding the Bulls. Many, many, many Bulls fans consider people like Dan Bernstein, Steve Gorches, Neil Funk, Harry etc. to be subject matter experts on the Bulls. People are busy, and when they hear or read their comments, it helps to shape their opinions.

Even after his solid 08-09 season and playoffs, a recent poll suggested 43% of the fan base would like to see BG walk, even without compensation. Sam Smith once told me that I would be surprised how many NBA personnel decisions are made based on public opinion. The Media helps shape inaccurate perceptions of a player. Reinsdorf has no reservations about pulling contracts “off the table” (as he did before the 08-09 season), or letting them walk in a free agent year. These moves take us farther away from a title.

I choose to hold members of the media accountable when they facilitate this, and I do that in SOME of our shows. You choose to ignore them. To each his own.

Please, post away. I'm dying to read more.

LOL...Oh man, this one takes the cake. Hey RT, send me your contact info, and I’ll sign you up for the Scripps National Spelling Bee Contest. They’ve divided up the participants into 2 groups, “4th Graders” and “Condescending A**holes”. Take a guess what group you’re in?

With this particular post, you’ve provided me with a topic for my next rant. I know, I know…..you’re not going to listen.

No need to insult the 15-year-olds. When I was 15 I had a pretty solid opinion on the Bulls and on Hue Hollins.....he's a jackass and still is LOL.
