I don't like this thread because he tried to make it sound like an episode of "the Big Bang theory"

Why? Because he used the word fallacy? If so I can kinda see what you mean.

Coming from you. The guy who bet the cubs wouldn't lose 100 games in 2012 because he was SO sure in Theo?

You have zero knowledge and are an incompetent fan. From the cbs boards, you are 2nd to RCub--who should have his own special category.

The Royals have been frugal with money, and wont spend it because they're small market. When Shields is up, he's gone. Ervin Santana wants 100 mil, so he was given a 'see ya later.'

Clueless

Exactly, and how was that any different from anything I said?

I hardly ever posted on the Cubs board on CBS, but I'm honored to know that my posts held that much meaning to you.

Don't flatter yourself. You weren't missed or anything. People remember you for being an idiot, not a knowledgeable contributor.

The cubs are not the royals. That's the point, genius.

Well seems like I haven't missed much. The debate has never been one or the other. The question has always been who do you sign. What do you give up to make it happen? Whether you want to acknowledge it or not every move has short and long term effects on the roster. I've been disappointed that so far the slider has remained so far to the long term still. I thought that this season would be the point where it started to shift more to the present. Still the offseason is far from done and we will shall see what the actual roster looks like in a couple of months.

I hope that once they get to the point where they have a few more players from the minors ready to play, that they will sign people.

It seems their best option is to sign pitchers, which they have done, and build their position players through the minors.

I think once their position players are solid enough they will fill what is needed via FA.
