Still is. That new Tetsuo & Youth is the shit. I think it's his last record with Atlantic too, which is great news. People like to hate on Lasers, but it has some good shit on there too. It just wasn't at the level of Food & Liquor and The Cool.

I haven't listened through it yet... Heard good things though. Atlantic really fucked him. Lasers was a horrible album. I hate when labels try and make artists become something they're not. 9 out of 10 times it ends badly.

There's probably like 4 good songs on Lasers, whereas Food & Liquor and The Cool, I could listen to every song all the way through. Tetsuo & Youth is like that again for me. I just love listening to him because you have to listen more than once to get the full effect of what he's talking about sometimes. Funny that the song that got me started on Lupe was Kick Push while playing NBA Live 07 LOL.

I absolutely loved Food&Liquor and The Cool....classics in my book. Didn't really like Lasers or F&L2...I still have to listen to Tetsuo &Youth but what I have heard was headed back in the right direction.

I'm surprised "Next To It" wasn't a bigger hit..it has that catchy sound but the lyrics are on point as well for those of us who pay attention to that

Next to It isn't on Tetsuo & Youth. I guess his label was trying to get him to put on garbage and he decided to do some bangers to make up for it, which eventually all got scrapped. So then he got to do what he wanted with Tetsuo & Youth. Something along those lines.
