Love to hear from Mugs Halas today.

First RIP Miss McCaskey

Second that Mugs story is definitely murky, especially with his kids not wanting to sell off their inheritance

Crazy how the last play she saw was the Bears beating GB on a FG.

The week after Walter died, Bears beat GB on a blocked FG.

RIP

Glad the last game she watched was a win over the Pack. She lived a long, full life which is all we can hope for

if anyone's expecting wholesale changes to the Bears organization because Virginia McCaskey died, prepare yourselves for more disappointment. they're not going to magically start winning Super Bowls now.

RIP

20-25 years ago, my dad joined an exercise class for seniors at the Lattof YMCA in DesPlaines. Virginia McCaskey was a regular member of the class. He said she would hang around after their workout, socializing with other class members. She was still living in the same DesPlaines house that she & Ed McCaskey had raised their kids in. One summer, she even invited the class to watch a pre-season game in the Bears owner's box. All-in-all, my dad felt she was a very nice, no pretenses, down-to-earth person. Considering that she was already worth 100s of millions back then, those were admirable qualities to have hung onto. Good run, Virginia. RIP...
