I remember when The Wachowski siblings were the The Wachowski brothers.

I really hope the studio doesn't do this, The Matrix was a great movie, the sequels were weak and hurt the brand, but messing with the original is such a bad idea.

I disagree, there are brilliant creative minds coming up with great new ideas all the time in and around Hollywood. The Matrix is an example of that.

Most of the the studios/business people in charge of the money are are greedy cowards, so sequels and re-boots . The Matrix sequels and re-boot are examples of that.

Movies and shows are now all generally adapted from books because Hollywood writers cannot come up with good material on their own the majority of the time.

They are smart to use good stories from good writers.... but the point stands that Hollywood itself is severely lacking as far as good movie ideas go.... I cannot recall the last non-book or comic-book movie that I saw that was outstanding..... generally when I enjoy the movie I find out it came from a book.

Instead of rebooting the Matrix, why not do a 'spin-off' type with Michael B. Jordan playing a young Morpheus who discovers the idea of the Matrix?

Find a good looking brunette to play a young Trinity who leaves her life of stripping and casual sex when Morpheus approaches her at the kit-kat club?
