Anyone ever heard of it? It's a three-day diet plan (that is set up to be repeated weekly)

My wife was intrigued and decided to try it. I'm trying it with her.

So far, we've done breakfast and lunch of the first day. I'm not hungry, but day three I'mma struggle with.

Anyone ever tried it?

yup, will do. Some of the stuff on the website is (expectedly) unrealistic. I mean, losing 10 lbs in 3 days is not only a bit extreme, but can be a bit unhealthy. That being said, If we do this for a few weeks and not only show a little success but just feel better in general, it'll be worth it. Coupling the diet with some running and other exercises at the house should help a bit.

yup, will do. Some of the stuff on the website is (expectedly) unrealistic. I mean, losing 10 lbs in 3 days is not only a bit extreme, but can be a bit unhealthy. That being said, If we do this for a few weeks and not only show a little success but just feel better in general, it'll be worth it. Coupling the diet with some running and other exercises at the house should help a bit.

A-yup. You may get a way with it for a week, but then your body will switch to burning off muscle instead of fat. Losing weight too quickly if you are older or obese is a good way to wind up with saggy baggy skin too.

What makes it "military"?

Anyhow, ketosis is your friend. Understand how it works, and how to achieve it. Also understand that you can go to extremes with ketosis or you can go mild, and I don't suggest going to extremes without understanding how your body reacts.

I get angry, frustrated easily, and want to kill people.

Yeah I'm looking to lose like 2 pounds a week and get down about 12 pounds or so. I am going to do some running and light lifting at the gym too so this kind of diet should help.

Really? How so? I ask because my dad had stones a lot and I would like to not have them. I haven't had problems with them yet.

I may give this a try too...I'm thinking for 1 week do the military diet then the next week switch to a sensible lower carb/higher protien meal plan with exercise, then go back to the military diet after that...basically switch back and forth until I get to my desired weight and then stick with the sensible lower carb higher protien meal plan to maintain my weight

first bit of advice -- drink a LOT of water, especially w/ the meals...it curbs the hunger a bit. hah

Kidney stones happen because your digestive system isn't regulating your calcium(sometimes other minerals too) intake correctly. Most of the time, this is a user error, ignoring their diet, and most importantly, the balance of the minerals and vitamins needed to improve your kidney's health(including consuming an excess to your body).

Rapid weight loss can lead to stones.

I think some people would find my diet plan pretty ridiculous, but it works out nicely for me.

My diet plan consists of

Mon-Fri

Meal 1
Protein Shake , add milk

Meal 2
Grilled Chicken/Steak, Veggies

Meal 3
Protein Shake, add milk with banana

I drink around a gallon of water a day, and try to add in at least 1 flavored energy drink a day with my main meal(gatorade/powerade ext..)

Repeat ^ for 5 days

I also take creatine 1-2 times a day depending on how hungry i am.


Sat-Sun
Overload on carbs

Pasta,Potatoes,Sweets ext..

I try to workout 6 days a week. Was doing 2 a days for a while, but don't have much time for that anymore

For us a 25 min brisk walk and 30 mins with the weight machine is all it takes to keep the fat away. We eat and drink whatever we want.

The only way I've ever really gained bad weight is drinking too much beer in the Winter. Getting rid of it was as simple as not drinking so much beer coupled with pushups/situps morning noon and night for a week. I'm sure eventually it will all catch up though.
