For instance, I know a guy who still says, 'for all intensive purposes.'

And I hated when Wayne's World came out, and people thought that doing the alternate reality gesture(with the hand waving) was actually called doing the 'Scooby-Doo ending'. Mainly because they watched the movie dozens of times at that point, and still failed to label the gag correctly.

Oh, I hate when people say, "I have a question". On occasion, or as a friendly interruption, sure. But before every question?! :smh:

use of the world literally
average QB...god damn it, an average QB is in the MIDDLE of the pack of 30 QBs...meaning around 14-17...not in the bottom tier..that's BELOW average....the term is supposed to be relative(i'm looking at you, ESPN)

Things like that don't "drive me insane" because I usually know what the person is trying to say. Unless I'm not familiar with the phrase... then I just wouldn't know he/she is fucking it up anyway.

But I guess if I could pick one, it would be "Could care less."

When I'm reading someone's text though, the wrong "your" or "there" can sometimes be a little annoying. Mostly because you learn that shit when you're like 8... and every year after that. And people still get it wrong.

1. Literally. Way overused.

2. People who say "1 and 1a." That has got to make every English teacher cringe. Say "1 and 2" or "1a and 1b".

3. "Axe" instead of "ask". You could axe me, but then you'd go to prison.

I hate when people say "disinterested". Uh, you aren't disinterested, you're uninterested.

My girlfriends daughter says this before every question she asks. We've told her several times that she doesn't have to announce that she has a question, just ask it. She usually remembers for about 5 minutes then goes right back to announcing her desire to ask a question

"Can I ask you a question?" is the one that really bugs me...
