The more I look at our offensive line, the more I wonder how Caleb has survived thus far.

I started digging into the offensive linemen in the draft, and it seems it really is only deep at Left Guard or Left Tackles that project to being a Guard in the NFL. Super LG heavy. But there isn't much to write home about on true RGs or Tackles on either side.

I think the Bears would benefit from trading down to pick up an extra 2nd rounder, and grab the best true RG in the draft in the first round, and then follow that up with "the best of the rest" LG or LG-prospect in the second round.

It says a lot about the draft for the position group (and not in a good way) when the top offensive line prospect is someone a lot of scouts think will make a better guard than tackle in the NFL.

I just want to avoid drafting 2 Left Guards and then try to convert one to right guard if we can help it. Not unless the drop off between the pool of LGs is far and away significantly superior to the potential pure RGs available to the Bears in the draft.
How’s the slot cornerback futures looking?

I know its a joke, but frankly I haven't spent nearly as much time evaluating corners as I have offensive line - I completely blame the Bears for forcing me to educate myself on offensive line play given they haven't had a good line since Olin Kreutz was a Bear and I've been looking into who the Bears could get since then, only to watch the GMs over the years keep passing line help by...

The Bears have had good corners since then, so I haven't put in nearly as much time and effort to look into that position group.

I asked you to clarify because what you wrote was utterly confusing to anyone whose first language is English.

As for the rest of your post, it's nonsensical drivel.

*yawn*

You don't care to read what people write to reply to it. Why do you pretend?
You obliviously know I'm right so you did the intentionally obtuse troll.

You didn't answer what difference it would make if it was players A and B or A gap and B gap. The point is this oline is not doing what olines do everywhere else.
It doesn't matter who it is, 3 on 1 with 2 open on either side slide to fill the open holes.
This line splits, they stay split, 3 players on 1 guy don't give a shit, they're going to stay on 1 guy and leave unblocked guys on both sides.
That is a coaching issue.

Originally I didn't realize you were saying Aikman was saying COLLEGE coaches weren't creating NFL players. I don't know what that was about, but our issue is Morgan taking NFL players and coaching them to not be NFL players.

That was what I thought you guys were arguing about. I guess I am not the only one confused on what the real argument is here?

If da Bears resigned Teven, then why not draft the best LG and move Teven to RG. Just a thought.

I don't get how Morgan still has a job

At one point, I thought the same about Getsy.

Then he got fired this season.

Do people not realize he was the source that was blaming all the offensive line issues last year on Justin Fields?

If anything, Fields' ability to run masked how bad the line REALLY was.

Ancient history now - Caleb is a better QB.

Good points

Getsy. was definitely incompetent. He and Morgan should've been fired together. Like JF, if the Oline issues aren't addressed, CW is gonna experience performance problems. There are some people here starting to blame CW, i.e. bad accuracy, holds the ball to long.
No I don't agree with them

Mmm-hmmm, and that's why there's so many well thought out replies from you and not just cut downs.
You act like I haven't been around this group for 20 years seeing this same BS. I know all the trolls on this board. I know all the moronic tendencies.

You're wrong. Once you're proven wrong you pretend you're not wrong. Stop addressing anything and just go on personal attacks.
Hell I've even got a couple of you pinheads into back and forth "I know you are but what am I" arguments of 2 year olds with no substance without fail.
If I've been around as long as I have that means you're all adults. Why don't you try acting like it for once?

I also very clearly said college coaches so I struggle to understand why you think that I don’t care to read.

It's definitely a problem for every human. I never excused myself but at least I try and even go back to re-read to see if I missed something like I did this time and then I admitted my fault.
Perhaps you should try it sometime.

And to my defense you dropped a list of names, you didn't "very clearly" say college coaches. Like I'm supposed to know whatever college names you pull out of your ass.

It is disturbingly odd how this goes on with fans like clockwork.
Fans are the meme with the girl in his arms (a new QB) rubbernecking at another girl (defense). And then they wonder why the offense never works.
It couldn't be ignoring the oline for the majority of 40 years. It must be the QB that we've only started paying attention to.

Then after we break the QB for 3+ years the fact they were broken by us is their proof that it's not us it's them.

Could I have that list of names that I dropped?

Also: if you could quote the post where I gave any opinion on Chris Morgan, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

"Marcus Freeman or Ryan Day or Josh Heupel"

In a column on The Athletic a few weeks back it stated that Waldron changed the entire run game. So I'm not necessarily sure it's all on Morgan.

WTF game are you trying to play?
I have expected you to have deleted those posts when you asked like it never happened. Is your memory that bad?
