what about @BobEvans stay at home wife with the 6 kids? i blame fat free food and sugar..

Any parent is bound by the content available in the grocery store and the norms of the day.

The Corporations made their husbands fat and lazy, so the wives became fat and lazy and made the kids fat and lazy.

They wanted fat sloths at keyboards and they got it.

Heavy cream is bad because cholesterol.

Eggs are bad because cholesterol.

Butter is bad (gotta use that MARGARINES) because cholesterol.

If you've been fed any of these lines of bullshit by a doctor or your Mom (like mine), please know that they are fucking liars who know only anecdotal evidence. (I've explained food/cholesterol to my Mom many times now and she remains convinced it will kill me if I keep eating butter)

Eating anything to excess and causing your body trouble is wrong, and you should seek to always balance your diet to meet your own needs.

No food on Earth is truly bad for humans in general, unless its Taco Bell but we're all going to keep eating Taco Bell, ****.
I would beg to differ on longterm consumption of seeds, nuts, and grains. These probibit absorption of minerals needed for bone density. Consuming every now and then is okay or if consumed separate from a meal, but consumed with almost every meal longterm will cause issues due to the phtyic acid.

I hate Taco Bell.

But yeah, all the shit that was put out in the 60s & 70s was based on falsified info. It's amazing how anytime new info comes out it totally contradicts the old guard. My parents still use that country crock shit instead of actual butter.

We had tubs of Country Crock and sticks of Margarine.

When I got to college I bought myself butter and never looked back.

Real butter just tastes so much better. It's like the first time you have eggs from organic free range chickens and see the yolk is darker.

Indeed.

My Aunt in Tucson treated us to some ultra fresh eggs from either neighbor or local farmer during a visit a couple years ago.

Easily some of the best eggs I've ever had.

I want to have space to grow hay for my Chinchillas one day but would also love if I could grow just enough feed and raise a small hatch of chickens for eggs and maybe meat idk.

Fresh af eggs FTW.

I dream of eggs, I am one with my TBD.

Free range chickens and grass fed meat have been shown to have even better nutrient profiles. Apparently there's a difference in taste, but I don't notice it.

I have been buying and making more chicken.

Mostly just tenders in the deep fryer.

I need to get more versatile with my recipes.

Balance is whatever mix of food keeps you healthy.

Healthy would also be something you define for yourself, but we all know what healthy looks like.

Healthy can be defined same as Porn, you know it when you see it.

I started ordering my meat from butcher box. Grass fed -grass finished. I try to work in a lower protein vegan/vegetarian day as well but those are fucking tough because I'm not vegan so I have a rough time finding appetizing recipes.

I lived on a functioning farm for about a year a few lifetimes ago and totally freaked out when I cracked open my first freshly laid egg. I thought the yolk had blood in it or something that was discoloring it and everyone laughed at me.

Now I am more appalled when it's too pale.

My wife's ex was vegetarian, so we started doing meatless Mondays to keep her favorite meatless dishes in rotation. Lots of great stuff you can do with lentils...way easy on the wallet too!

IDK what healthy really is M8. PPL can be yolked but unhealthy.. OR skinny but fat and unhealthy.. etc.

Also dont always trust egg yolk colors... factory farmers can cheat and make them darker...

Sounds like intellectual dithering to me.

I never talked about egg yolk colors, others did.

It's something new that I'm doing, so I'm still discovering. Lentils are fairly high in protein I believe too.

It's just about switching it up and upping the intake of vegetables.
