Depending on where the other FAs go, he could possibly get max money when teams get desperate.

oh and Miller isnt LOOKING for max money but he WANTS max money. He's stated that he knows his worth.

Miller can get a good contract that fits him. The max money would put a grin from ear-to-ear on his face.

Ric Bucher on ESPN just said that the Bulls are indeed shopping hard for Loul Deng and that they believe if they can move him, the chances of LeBron coming to CHI are even more likely because we would have more cap space to possibly sign another top player.

My ideal situation is Lebron and Boozer. I really like Boozer.

If no one takes their contracts, we wont be getting any player of that caliber to go with LBJ. Not Bosh, not Boozer, not even Lee.

Well no one will unless we're getting the same contract or contracts in return.

Unless it's Deng for Turkoglu or Deng for Pietrus/Gortat, it's not happening.

Deng/17th pick for 8th pick was a pipe dream and there's no chance in hell anything like that happens.

Bulls' first meeting could be with Chris Bosh

The Bulls' first meeting during the NBA's free-agent negotiating period may be with Toronto's Chris Bosh.

Teams can start making direct contact with free agents beginning at 12:01 a.m. Eastern time Thursday. It's not clear where or when a meeting with Bosh would take place, but the Bulls would like to sit down with the all-star power forward quickly.

The Bulls are hoping to get a free-agent commitment before they meet with LeBron James in northeastern Ohio later this week. Bosh is their first target, with Atlanta shooting guard Joe Johnson a likely second choice.

According to multiple reports, James plans to host six teams for recruiting pitches, beginning with the Nets and Knicks on Thursday. Cleveland, Miami and the Los Angeles Clippers are the other teams expected to meet with James. The Bulls are hoping to be the last team to make a presentation to the two-time MVP.

One issue is the Bulls probably won't have enough cap room to offer two maximum-salary contracts. So they'll either have to convince someone to take less money or make another trade. The Bulls conceivably could send a player or two back in a sign-and-trade deal to land one of the free agents.

The New York Times on Sunday quoted an anonymous NBA executive predicting James and Bosh will both sign with the Bulls. Those predictions should be taken with a grain of salt because a New York radio reporter claimed later in the day another unnamed executive thinks Bosh is ticketed for Miami.

ESPN.com reported the Knicks plan to meet with Johnson shortly after the free-agent negotiating period begins. It's possible New York is Johnson's backup plan if the Bulls are able to land James and Bosh and can't pull off a deal to create extra cap room.

NO BOSH DEAL WITH BULLS (unofficially that is..)
June 27, 2010 · 5:48PM

Chris Bosh hasn’t decided on signing with Chicago or any other team, his agent told NBA.com on Sunday. A report out of New York said the soon-to-be Toronto free agent was leaning towards joining the Bulls, along with LeBron James.

“Completely untrue,” Bosh’s agent Henry Thomas told NBA.com via email. “He hasn’t decided anything.”

The most-heralded free agency class of all-time is headlined by James, Dwyane Wade and Bosh. Wade is also a Thomas client. Thomas also told NBA.com recently that Wade and Bosh would keep all their options open.

James has decided, according to various reports, to host potential suitors in Ohio once free agency officially opens Thursday. The six teams believed to be visiting LeBron on his turf are Cleveland, New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Miami and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Dallas is trying feverishy to get into the LeBron Summit, a league source told NBA.com Sunday. The Mavericks are hopelessly over the cap, but that hasn’t dampened the front office’s enthusiasm for making a pitch for the league’s most-coveted free agent. Locking up Dirk Nowitzki first is a must.

Bosh was recently in Miami and has listed the Heat as a possible destination. Toronto general manager Bryan Colangelo has also said that the Raptors would consider a sign-and-trade with Bosh if a new deal isn’t worked out.

Don't expect Bulls to make Wade a priority
Posted by mikemcgraw on Mon, 06/28/2010 - 21:10

Dwyane Wade has made no secret of his desire to stay in Miami and convince at least one major free agent to join him in South Florida.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel cited a source close to Wade saying the Heat star planned to cover his bases by scheduling meetings with the Bulls, among other teams, when the free-agent negotiating period opens Thursday at 12:01 a.m. Eastern time.

This might be news to the Bulls. A source familiar with the situation does not think the Bulls have plans to meet with Wade.

A few weeks ago, Wade was critical of the Bulls, claiming they’re not loyal to their former players, using as evidence the fact that neither Michael Jordan nor Scottie Pippen currently has a role in the organization.

Bulls general manager Gar Forman countered by pointing out the large number of former Bulls involved with the team, including vice president of basketball operations John Paxson, coaches Pete Myers and Randy Brown, broadcasters Bill Wennington and Stacey King, along with community relations specialist Bob Love.

The Bulls’ top priority in free agency is obviously LeBron James. They’ll focus the rest of their attention attention primarily on Chris Bosh, Joe Johnson and Carlos Boozer.

DURANT MAKES PICK
Add Oklahoma City star Kevin Durant to the cast of thousands making free agent predictions. During an appearance in Chicago on Monday, Durant said he thinks LeBron James will sign with the Bulls.
