During IGN's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 live stream today, Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling confirmed some details of the game's Prestige Mode. The game's multiplayer mode will be capped at level 80, at which point players will be able to Prestige.

Players will be able to Prestige ten times, meaning the game features 800 multiplayer levels total. This is slightly more than in Call of Duty: Black Ops, which featured a level cap of 50 and fifteen different Prestige loops, accounting for 750 levels total.

Modern Warfare 3 will hit stores on November 8th.

I got about halfway on both. I didn't have enough time to prestige all the way, especially with Madden and a couple other games that I was playing regularly. MW3 may be the one I prestige all the way with.

Happen to nab an early copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3? You might want to think about selling it.

A recently ended eBay listing for an alleged early copy netted the seller $1,725, just four days before the game is released in stores.

Those with early copies thinking about signing onto Xbox Live may want to reconsider, however. Xbox Live's Director of Policy Stephen Toulouse noted on Twitter that playing early copies of Modern Warfare 3 online may get you banned temporarily from Activision.

HOLY F*CK

..............Wut?

I just couldnt get into it.

I give gratuitous amounts of credit for what infinity ward has done with the cod title. It has take great strides to pave the way for fps in the future. With that being said they really came up short on mw2.

1. The maps - Now i wont go as far to say all the maps are bad. I enjoy my far share of favela and Afgahn...hell im even starting to like sub base. But 3 decent maps out of a total of 10ish? (wont bother to count) is like covering a turd in sparkles....it's still a piece of shit. The maps are constantly feeding the defensive style of play...some may call it camping others may call it something else....but the fact of the matter is that you cant take 3 steps out into an area that isnt totally confined by objects or walls. This in turn leads to people sitting in corners waiting for someone to walk by so they can pounce. There are to many open windows for people to sit in and wait.... and like it or not, to play effectivly in this game at all....you have to play defensively.

2. Assault Rifles - The Assault rifles in this game are grossly overpowered. There's really no other way of describing it. The fact of the matter is that if you don't play a kit running an assault rifle you are gimping yourself greatly. This is turns leaves the sub machine guns way down in that bin where you keep all your toys you don't play with anymore. Remember COD4...the mp5...in close quarters it dominated any assault rifle...while in mw2 the only way you would ever try to run an mp5 kit is just for the nostalgia factor (altho the mp5k does look pretty sweet in mw2.)

3. Painkiller - Worse than juggernaut...end of story...this thing *bleep*ing sucks and im pretty sure everyone agrees....no explanation needed.

4. Shotguns as secondaries - This was soooo not needed... and even adds to SMGs being shat on even harder...a shotgun will always pull of the win in close quarters, rendering SMGs near useless unless mid - close range.

5.Commando - THIS IS A GAME RUINING PERK and needs to be patched or taken out completely. There no reason people should be awarded with a Halo 2 Sword lunge from across the map when you are out shooting them. It makes close quarter combat almost unbearable and you and i both know you would like to strangle the asshole running around with a care package marker and commando.

6. Spawn System - I saved the best for last. The fact that you work your way into an 11 killstreak and have some douchebag spawn behind you is the ultimate boner breaker. How did IW *bleep* up so badly. I mean sure CoD 4 had it's share of spawn problems with spawn trapping...but it was a problem that became part of the game. It was a mission to spawn trap the other team...cause if you didnt do it to them, they would do it to you. And i feel spawn trapping is a small price to pay for some asshole spawning behind you with no rhyme or reason.

7. I know i don't even have to mention the models

Now with that all said there are thing that IW did right with MW2

1. The Challenges - All the Challenges and Titles/Emblems keep you coming back for more. They did this well and it adds a lot of fun to the game as a whole.

2. The Equipment System - This i feel was pure genius. The fact that you can only get one grenade and must choose between a grenade, claymore, semtex, c4, TI, throwing knife, and blast shield. They truly solved the issue of grenade spam that COD4 had.

I just couldnt get into it.

Just an awful synopsis overall.

1. Maps. He leaves out maps like Derail, Highrise(lots of open space in the middle) Estate had tons of open areas, and Wasteland. Not to mention Maps like Terminal and Scrapyard had tons of chances to run and gun. His assertion to be good at this game you have to play defensively is way off base. The most overpowered weapon was a run and gun weapon(Dual Akimbos). No idea where he gets this from.

2- Assault Rifles. Again, no idea where this comes from. By FAR the most overpowered gun was dual shotguns. Not only that Smaller Automatics and sub machine guns like the UMP etc with high rates of fire ere incredibly popular among the good players I played with. I prefered the M16 personally but that's because I play much so slower than others and would work edges of the map. Playing more fo a recon style.

3-. Painkiller. It lasts for 10 seconds...right at spawn. Sounds like this guy was a spawn camper and was pissed off. Never had an issue with it ruining a game.

4.-I think it's odd he says assault rifles are overpowerd but then rages about Shotguns not being needed.

I agree on 5. My biggest issues with all MW games is the melee attack being WAY over powered. Like WAY. But that's not unique to MW2. That's been an issue since the original COD. Commando didn't help matters but let's be honest here, melee's in COD games have always been borderline cheese, hence why I think they added shotguns for close range 1 shot kills.

6. Spawn System . Idiotic complaint IMO. Basically it amounts to "It was fine in COD4 but in MW2 it sucks!" What? The spawn sites were pretty well known. Just stay away from them. Again, sounds like a guy who was a spawn camper and would get overly aggressive with it...and pay the price.

Black Ops sucked.

Just a terrible effort.

Black Ops was bad. I enjoyed World at War more than Black Ops, but both of those Treyarch games were bad. I wish they didn't alternate COD titles with Infinity Ward every year. One COD title by Infinity Ward every other year would be great. But COD is Activisions cash cow so they treat it like a sports title.

The Complete Guide To Modern Warfare 3's Killstreak Rewards - Features - www.GameInformer.com

Assault Strike Package

This package will feel more familiar to series fans than either of the other options. Like in previous games, this package will reward you with a variety of (mostly) offense-based attacks, but your streak count resets upon death. If you're good enough to rack up several successive kills without dying, here are some of the tools of destruction you can look forward to:

3 Kills - UAV. One of the oldest killstreaks in the series, this sweeping radar will reveal enemy locations on your HUD's minimap.

4 Kills - Care Package. A random assist item dropped from a helicopter at a location of your choosing. Just make sure you're not under a bridge when you throw the beacon.

5 Kills - Intelligent Munitions System (I.M.S.). This deadly proximity-based weapon looks like a giant land mine, but it's more sophisticated than that. Once an enemy steps within its detection radius, the I.M.S. launches an explosive at them. Great for defending flags or hiding near bottlenecks.

5 Kills - Predator Missile. Controllable death from above, which the player views as a first-person missile cam.

5 Kills - Sentry Gun. A turret that you can pick up and place in strategic locations on the battlefield.

6 Kills - Precision Airstrike. Once activated, the player chooses the location of the initial strike as well as the direction of the jets. Great for taking out clusters of enemies.

7 Kills - Attack Helicopter. An A.I.-controlled chopper that fires on enemies until its designated time runs out or it's destroyed by enemy fire.

9 Kills - Strafe Run. Five helicopters perform quick sweeps of the battlefield, taking out enemies that don't get to cover quick enough.

9 Kills - AH-6 Overwatch. A small chopper acts as your guardian angel, hovering near you and taking out anyone who means you harm.

9 Kills - Reaper. Call in several targeted missile strikes from an overhead view.

10 Kills - Assault Drone. A remote-controlled drone that can drive around the battlefield and take out enemies with its on-board weaponry. Lets you take out enemies while staying out of harm's way.

12 Kills - AC-130. The feared air support reward is back, and it once again puts you in the gunner's seat of the massive AC-130 aircraft. Sure to get your enemies running for cover.

12 Kills - Pave Low. A stronger version of the attack helicopter, featuring more powerful missiles, better armor, and flares that deflect incoming missiles.

15 Kills - Juggernaut Armor. A personal suit of Juggernaut armor that also grants the wearer a light machine gun and the Scavenger perk. Allows players to take far more damage at the expense of mobility.

17 Kills - Osprey Gunner. A combination of chopper gunner and multiple care packages, it allows you to lay down fire while delivering helpful packages to your team.

Support Strike Package

If you're a team-minded player who has trouble racking up successive kills without dying, then this strike package is the perfect fit for your play style. Being rewarded with the bigger items in the Assault strike package can be tough since the count resets upon death, but that isn't the case with Support. All of your kills during a round count towards your next killstreak, and you won't lose any progress if you catch a bullet to the head. These rewards are more defensive in nature, but they're not all for pacifists:

4 Kills - UAV. Identical to its Assault version, this returning reward shows enemy positions on the minimap for a limited time.

5 Kills - Counter-UAV. Scrambles enemy radar for thirty seconds, making your team's location undetectable from the sky.

5 Kills - Ballistic Vests. A pack of vests that can be placed, allowing teammates to suit up for additional defense.

5 Kills - Airdrop Trap. This makes your enemy think they're about to snag one of your care packages from under your nose, but delivers a deadly explosion instead.

8 Kills - SAM Turret. If the other team's airborne rewards are causing you trouble, you can place this to knock them out of the sky.

10 Kills - Recon Drone. A remote-controlled helicopter that briefly stuns enemies and tips off your teammates to their location.

12 Kills - Advanced UAV. A much more handy version of the standard UAV. Instead of just showing location, this also lets you know which way enemies are facing.

12 Kills - Remote Turret. A deployable sentry turret that can be aimed and fired from any location on the map.

14 Kills - Stealth Bomber. A payload of bombs is dropped from an undetectable stealth aircraft.

18 Kills - EMP. Temporarily shuts down enemy electronics, including sentry guns, red dot sights, and air support vehicles.

18 Kills - Juggernaut Recon. A heavily-armored suit is delivered from the sky, along with a riot shield and pistol.

18 Kills - Escort Airdrop. Several care packages are dropped from an Osprey, which then hovers and protects them for your team.
