Rented the game from the RedBox on a free credit online to play with some friends for a couple days and give it another chance, and my opinion still stands...this is still the game I got sick of years ago. The more I play it, the more I develop a hatred towards the ridiculous maps too. What were they thinking?
Can't say it's completely void of fun. I like the feel of the weapons, and the overall fluidity of the game(like most other COD's). I'm just glad I didn't buy it out of brand loyality. Would've been a quick trade in.

Just played it at my friend's place for the first time tonight. It's pretty solid. I like the guns and some of the map layouts are pretty sweet as well. I'll probably pick it up sometime in the next few days when I have some time to get into the multiplayer more.

However those maps will be free if you bought a limited edition copy of Battlefield (which were hardly limited). Also, those were never on the console. Good luck getting anything

I've been playing quite a bit. I'm up to level 75 now. Mostly TDM with some Kill Confirmed in there, but KC brings my K/D ratio down a bit.
My two favorite guns these days are the ff90m1 (the SMG with the weird magazine) and the Mk14 (this gun is a beast). I always liked the M14, but I'm glad they made it a normal AR instead of a sniper rifle. I like to carry a shotgun backup in my m14 class, usually the Striker.
My K/D is about 1.7 on TDM, and 1.5 overall. I'm going to prestige as soon as I can. I'm starting to like a few of the maps a bit more now that I'm learning them well.

So I got the game, put it in and the disc wouldn't play. Took it back, got my money refunded and picked up Call of Duty 4 again. Been playing that the last few days. Still as classic and awesome as ever.
