I'll rephrase for you, Emery drafted him as a down lineman and was criticized right away (rightfully so). Packers and New England were both wanting to take SM, they both run the 3-4 and would have had him standing up . I'm curious when this forum knew he couldn't play, before or after he took an NFL snap.
Crazier things have happened. Our new center is from Oregon not OSU, thanks for correction, but will still start from day one against the pukers. The beginning of our schedule thru 8 weeks could have us at 5 and 2. If that happens we have a legit shot at playoffs and the best part as someone mentioned is that there were really expectations going into this year.
I'll be honest when Fox was hired I literally was like "meh.......ah......meh". Seems like a vanilla average coach who couldn't get it done with P Manning so what the @&$& is he gonna do with Cutty. Then I looked at his numbers in Carolina and Denver and his numbers told a different story. Consistent winner. Perennial would be another adjective that came to my mind. A guy who gets a shot every year has a .....shot I guess.
Then we ship out the best, but aging, WR in Bears history and it looks like a total rebuild. Are they gonna trade Cutty or no. Several months of who knows what we're gonna do except most likely suck next year.
Then the draft. K white and Goldman and I started to look at tape of Vic's defense in S.F. We have enough I believe to be ranked in the 10 to 20 range more towards 10. Injuries will be one of if not most important factor. No great revelation in my last sentence but I believe more so for our team. Bostic Kyle Goldman Ratliff Jennings all need to stay healthy. If Shea Mac can do anything by returning to a 3-4 defense that's a bonus.
If the Offense can gel we should be able to surprise a lot of folks.
