Maybe this is what I need to divorce myself from this curse known as the Chicago Bears.
I have rooted in frustration my entire life for this collection of misfits and bums masquerading as a NFL football team.
If they hire that Fat MFer, Im done!

He also says if Ben Johnson wants the bears Pete Carroll may want the raiders

My red line is Caleb’s success. This fucking clown show had this situation gift wrapped and delivered to them by the cherubim of heaven and the first year was about as much of a dumpster fire as anyone could even script

Well it’s a damn low bar and hard to imagine MM being a perennial loser like the bears have been, but to your point….i am not a psychic…but the odds are they’ll at least be a competitive team.

Bears kept Flus last year when almost everyone knew he wasn't it. Accordingly, they didn't get a top OC. Now, they've got a GM who top coaches don't want to work for because they know he's likely fired in a year if they underperform expectations (given NFC North's strengths, easy to see that path as a possibility). So now, they're going to miss out on the top options again. Poles will get canned next year, new GM will be forced to keep schmuck HC for a season and we'll be entering year 5 asking if Caleb's 4th HC can unlock his potential or if they need to draft a new QB to ruin. The new GM will say they won't make the same mistakes and immediately proceed to speedrun those same mistakes. The cycle of suck will remain unbroken.

Or, they could just fire the shitty GM and let Johnson bring in the guy he wants and possibly break the cycle. But nope, future NFL wannabe commish Kevin Warren is committed to the cycle of suck.

Ben Johnson is not going to coach the Raiders. Most guys don't get a shot at HC, and a lot of those who do get ONE shot.

When you're the most sought-after coach of the cycle, you don't waste possibly your only shot on a guaranteed 5-6 division losses a year, where there's no quarterback, and where your team is going to have the worst QB in the division.

And before some smartass brings up the NFC North, Love/McCarthy/Goff are not the same as Mahomes/Herbert/Nix.
