Hmm, Sox don't trust Micah or Sanchez?

Must not... Here is the article:

The Blue Jays, Athletics, Cubs, White Sox and Angels are interested in Stephen Drew to play second base but don’t want to pay his $9MM-$10MM asking price, Sherman writes. There’s concern that Drew’s poor 2014 season marks the beginning of a serious decline. “Fine, you want to say June and July [last year] were spring training for him, well, how about August or September? There was never a time in which he looked like a major league hitter,” says one executive. The Yankees could have interest in him, but want to commit to Didi Gregorius at shortstop and could have concern Drew would provide an easy distraction from those plans, even if he’s signed as a second baseman. Earlier this month, we guessed Drew would get a one-year, $7MM deal.

If his asking prices comes down a bit, i'd take him on a 1 yr deal.

He sucks, then DFA his ass & let Micah/Sanchez or whoever play 2B.

Now that Asdrubal signed with Tampa... I would love to get Zobrist to play 2B, however not sure we have enough to get him.

Rodon is not an unknown. Everyone who knows anything about this kid agrees he was an MLB ready pitcher the day he was drafted by the Sox. He will not be rushed into the rotation because we're three deep with quality SPs. We really don't need to spend any more money on the rotation, but a trade for a few specs to provide depth in the system wouldn't hurt.

He is an unknown to me until he proves himself as either a starter or a reliever. We will see how it all sorts itself out in spring training.

With the Orioles looking for OFers, why not give them a call with Viciedo for Weiters? I know it would cost us more so I would be thinking we add Matt Davidson to provide Machado insurance and a low A ball type player.

Viciedo could be used as a platoon with LaRoche at DH. Maybe bringing him back isn't so bad.

Viciedo vs LHP: 124 wRC+ (84 wRC+ vs RHP).
LaRoche vs RHP: 120 wRC+ (89 wRC+ vs LHP).
