It was more than that he is a terrible in game manager with scheme, adjustments, time outs, running plays to set up other plays etc, etc, etc.

He's one of the best OC's in all of football in an offense oriented league. It's not rocket science.

Yeah...lets dink and dunk all the way down the field. We drafted Fields over Jones for a reason. And never never never never forget he drafted Tim Fucking Tebow in the first round. That and that alone should make every team run from him.

And Vic Fangio is one of the DCs in football. The Bears are hiring a head coach, not an offensive coordinator. And if he's really one of the best OCs what happened last season?
McDaniels may be a great offensive mind. He's already proven to be a disastrous head coach. Assuming he'll be better now for...reasons...is ridiculous. He was about as bad as a head coach could be. And then he accepted a job, hired a staff, and decided "nah, **** it". Leadership!
