You do realize that, for nearly every franchise in the NFL, at some point there is always a "non football person" hiring the football person? Even if the Bears had hired Polian or Holmgren as football czars to hire the GM, who hires the czar? A non football person.

Ho-fucking-dor.

That's why I say break out the Ouija board and ask Halas WTF the Bears should be doing

We can spew our inner hatred to the one parasite who has leeched onto the Mccaskey family since 1999.

The one man who hired uncle Phil Emery, who oversaw J Angelo.. Who, damn it! With no football experience at any level, was in charge of the hiring of football personnel.

As estatic I am of the Ryan Pace hire,'I can't help but fume at the idea of that smug moron on that beautiful afternoon of the Trestman-Emery firing, still sitting next to george and, at times, over talking George. Who does he think he is? Why is he still there?

Why was he even remotely at area of the draft room. He needs to be gone.

I love the direction of the Bears, but one must see that Ted still is a problem. Eric Decosta has said that he would've had no interest in Bears Gm gig if Ted was still Pres. Yet, there he is.

And there he was over talking Georhe about how he, Ernie and George would
Be leading charge for the new GM.

As happy we are of Pace, and the thumbs up Ernie gave the pic. I can't say without doubt, I still am shocked sweaty teddy has anything to do with the Chicago Bears franchise.

Let's discuss how bad the direction of team was under Ted Phillips.

Great discussion point. I am not as happy about the hiring of Pace as most are but it is mostly because I do not trust Ted Phillips and the MCCaskeys of ever doing anything great in the big picture to turn the Bears into anykind of top rate organization.

When the crap all went down with the firing of Emery and Trestman, Bears fans were promised a major housecleaning were we not? Did we get it? I don't think so. I think that all they did was bring in an inexperienced yet "promising" GM and an average professional head coach. But NOTHING CHANGED at the top did it.

So..... I think it will fail once again because that it the Bears destiny as long as the McCaskey's and Phillips rule the roost.

So, I am now awaiting the brain dead missives from the "true blue and orange" fans of the Chicago Bears telling me that I am not a true fan.

I'm not doubting you are a true fan. Sometimes I just wonder why you follow the team since it brings you nothing but misery. If you have no hope in something why do it or follow it ?

Hawk, I get what you are saying, but you must have some faith in this. I actually read that David Haugh article stating that it isn't a major house cleaning without Teddy gone; but it is what it is.

Personally, I just cannot stand that Weasel. I was livid when he was up there next to george and at times, overtalking him. I like the pace hire myself, alot.. Just not the keeping of ted and having his voice in anything football related.

Teddy isn't making any football decisions now, it's very clear now.

Phillips is an accountant and probably not a very good one if you look at the stadium deal. Chicago is about as difficult as it gets, but that was not a good deal. Daley was pretty used to having his own way. I think you always had to be indirect with Richard.

Mumford is sellouts cause they got popular.

I bought my wife their new album for Mother's Day (she's a fan), and boy it sounds a bit different. The 2nd or 3rd songs could straight up be The National as fronted by Mumford. Its a tad confusing. So, yes I struck out, as the book I was so excited to get her; she had already read.

Ho-fucking-dor.

I don't know why anyone would want Polian. He attended the merchant marine academy before college which sounds like juco on a boat.

LOL

Every year the same bunch say "this is the year Phillips is gone!"

"This is the year the Bears hire a real football guy."

"Cliff Stein is the president of the future!"

And....Teddy is still here.

He wins again.

Hahahaha

I was just making fun of hipsters.

Mumford is great and all, but its funny how much of a fad they became, since there are so many americana bands just on the edge of mainstream consciousness. Mumford is one of the real good ones, but theres a lot that are even better imo.

Sure and next you're gonna tell me "Before every successful NFL player was an NFL player he was outside the NFL like in college or something"

You do realize that the owners are not going to fire themselves right?

Sure. But sometimes, owners die and their kids sell off the damn team. But, seriously, having a President like Phillips for so many years of horseshit performance is pathetic. I kept hoping for a Rocky Wirtz type Blackhawk AWAKENING but all we get is the same below average management and coaching re-runs. Now it is Pace and Fox being sold as the answe. Neither of those guys have done shit to be excited about. Just two shleps drawing pay checks from a family owned and operated business that is programmed to earn money not by having a successful product but rather because their Papa Bear was one of the founders of the entire NFL and the brand loyalty of the BEars is stuck in the DNA of the citizens of CHicago. TOo bad old Papa Bear didn't have a better stronger sperm count to produce children that could run his franchise.
