Coming off the big win yesterday and the performance of Mitch Trubisky:

What are some of the games and performances in your lifetime that gave you hope about the team or a player?

How did the hopes end up?

Let's hear them!

2006: Bears vs Seahawks

37-6 Bears.

Defense looked unbeatable. Tommie Harris looked like the DPOY. Grossman looked like a possible MVP. Team looked like a SB Winner.

Harris and Mike Brown got hurt, Rex went bi-polar, Bears were talented enough to get through the NFC...but didn't have the horses to beat Peyton Manning.

I have never watched a game like that in my life. I honestly did not know how to act or respond. I was legitimately, and stupidly, scared they would come bacl.

Since my upbringing was as a Detroit fan, I have to go with Stafford's rookie year last second win against Cleveland, where we came in to win it after seperating his shoulder. Most Lion fans still hold onto that as their proof Stafford has that will to win. Never mind he hasn't done it against a winning team like ever...before or since...

2009--when Chris Williams shut down Jared Allen all night on MNF and Cutler threw 4 TD's. Chris ended up being awful and we know the rest

When Cutler had the comeback victory against Pittsburgh in his second game as a Bear I thought maybe we found our guy.....I don't have to explain the ending of that one.....

The 41-0 ass whipping of the Cowboys at Dallas with Steve Fuller at QB in 1985. Knew this team would be SB champs.

Orton's comeback in the Atlanta game. I mention this because it was a disappointing, and somewhat unwanted hope, which was quickly doused.

I don't remember the year, but it was against Atlanta-- week 2 or 3. The Bears looked very lethargic and Jay Cutler took a huge shot to the chest. He went out for a couple of plays and came back in like a man on a mission. Bears dominated from there on out and beat Atlanta. I thought they were playoff bound

2012 season...Seahawks game...Cutler brought them back to put the game into OT. Eventhough they lost, I thought he turned a corner. I made it to the following game at the Metrodump. And then was officially off the Cutler bandwagon.
