We root for the Bulls cause well they’re the Bulls, but it’s like if your family owns a shitty restaurant.
You don’t want it to fail, you want it to make it work, because family, memories but you know the cooking is bad as Joakim Noah attempting a shot from 2 feet

The Bulls are basically the basketball Bears. Seemingly the shit should work and then...

I put this one on Noah and Thibs. Noah because he played like a frustrated toddler and Thibs because this Bulls' roster should not lose to the Cavs without Love. They seemingly turn off for large periods of time which is unacceptable.

Basketball Bear? Bears have made the playoffs once in 8 years. Id give anything to watch the Bears suck in the playoffs year after year. Honestly, the Bulls would be much more competitive this time of year if they didnt grind during every possession for 82 games. They just keep getting injured. Its like clockwork. Rose, Deng, Pau, Noah, Taj, Asik when he broke his foot. Critical players(especially bigs) keep finding themselves on the bench or just hobbling on the court when the games really matter.

1. Like half the teams in the NBA make the playoffs. The Bulls look good on paper, but never amount to anything real so they are the Bears.
2. You are correct, Thibs puts far too much emphasis on the regular season.
3. They keep getting injured because of the emphasis on the regular season.
4. That's why I'm off the Thibs bandwagon if they can't do it this year.

It seemed like they did that less this year.

Regular season in the NBA means nothing. 80 % of the teams are absolute trash. This Bulls team just happens to be in the top 20 %, but they are not in the elite category. If you're not elite, you have no chance at a title. If the Bulls do end up losing to these Cavs minus Love and a banged up Irving, it's time to admit that the Thibs era needs to end and that you have to move on from Noah and Gibson. I'd throw Rose into the mix, but he is untradeable with his contract. Build around Niko and Butler to start and acknowledge the fact that the Bulls need to get into the lottery to actually build a winner again with a legitimate chance of winning a title.

Even by chance that the Bulls can beat the Cavs, would they even beat the Wizards? ****, they would get clown stomped by the likes of Golden State or the Clippers and so would the Cavs.

I'd keep Rose, since you can't trade him and he has looked fairly close to his former self in the post season.
Keep Taj if he's willing to remain a 6th man type.
Noah needs to go. I'm just sick of his shit honestly and he handcuffs them on offense when he consistently does this "point center" bullshit.
You are going to have to max Butler after LAL gives him that offer this offseason so, I don't know how that affects the cap situation.
Mirotic should be pretty solid in the long run.

Thank u Rustysurf83. i agree with everything you just posted. Only slight change is if we can't get a better option at stating powerfoward i would give Taj his shot next season. If there is someone else that is clearly better that brings it then so be it.

keep Taj for what? hes 30 and has lost his explosiveness...Noah has been getting allot of shit but Gibs has faced a huge drop off from last year aswell...he can't score in the post or hit jumpers anymore

we need to blow this roster up and buckle down for a rebuild...luckily we got pieces like Jimmy and Nikola already in place so we wont be starting from scratch ala post-Jordan Bulls

Maybe some of it. Not a bad contract. Good player. But don't get me wrong i'm not married to the idea. Unlike Thibb's i would be all for it if a better option is available.

Taj starts for most teams in the league. Taj would start for the Cavs...

All I know is that Noah and Hinrich look like D-League players.

I'm not going to blame Mirotic since it's his first playoffs.

Most of the blame should go to the GarPax duo that for years have refused to grab athletic players. No wing depth. No reliable guard depth.

Ever since Matt Lloyd left the Bulls picks have sucked monkey balls.Snell,McDermott.

Only Butler and Gibson can finish at the rim.

I get it the Bulls want high character guys but you can't beat a more talented opponent just on IQ.

This series isn't over yet so I won't get all dramatic yet. Anything can happen.

If the Bulls lose here in the 2nd round though you can be sure that Thibs, Gibson and Noah will be guys on the chopping block. Maybe not all 3 of them just yet but I would say 2 of these 3 guys will be on different teams next year.

"Us diehards"...? There are only 2 people who have posted in this thread, to this point, who regularly post in the Bulls forum. No, what this is, is a bunch of people from the Bears forum running over here, in a fit of schadenfreude, trying to put the stink of the Bears onto the Bulls.

GTFO!

Rose has looked good and he just got back to play after a knee injury  Rose, Jimmy, and Mirotic are a good core of players to build around. The future is still bright win or lose tomorrow.

I'd throw Rose into the mix, but he is untradeable with his contract. .

Rose is the only one actually playing consistently well, and that is coming off a recent knee surgery.
