What does this even mean?

Shooting competition, rifle, pistol, shot gun, some of these guys are amazing.

Here is where I heard about them.

I have watched a lot of his videos and thought he was a pretty good shot, and his modesty was false bravado. At this state competition he was just okay. Yikes.

I assume Matt is not racing while he is shooting.

Interesting thread...never knew collecting clothing was a thing (well other than the panties, perv angle anyways). I guess mine is pretty lame by most standards, I raise/breed a certain strain of Tropical fish. Always was fascinated with genetics, creating something new, etc. It's an obsession that at one time lead me to having 28 fish tanks in my house (basement).

This is one of my "creations"

Very nicely done...

Of course the photog in me is like, "What was the lighting? How did you kill the ambient? What gear did you shoot that with?"

Stunning photo!

I can't take credit for the photo unfortunately, it was taken by one of our organizations members (Matt) who is a photo guru, at our bi-annual show that was held in Chicago (actually Lombard) in 2016 (it is however my fish, one I bred). I can't take a decent picture to save my butt.

I know he uses an overhead flash on the tank.

Thanks! the photo reminded me of Wikipedia's photo of an Oscar:

Which is one of my favorite fish photos. Awesome job by your photo guru!

I've always wanted an Oscar--never had the opportunity to raise one. A buddy of mine in grade school had one. I figure the lighting has to be something special but I love the pop of that photo (and the look of your fish, don't get me wrong :D).

Likewise, my mom's ex boyfriend used to compete in 3-gun competitions semi professionally, as well and very much enjoyed it with a high level of enthusiasm.

What kind of hobbies do you have Vash?

Well I guess besides "window-shopping" (browsing but very rarely buying) wardrobe items from my favorite top ten television dramas and comedies and even "dramedies" I do enjoy disc golfing (it's like golf but with frisbee throwing instead of a ball into holes with clubs it's a frisbee into a target) I like to find new ways of getting more efficient and effective at maintaining pet cleanliness, Pokemon Go, watching and critiquing WWE, writing story lines and characters for WWE, and hanging out online. Only maybe roughly half of these hobbies would I consider thinking of being what one find "useless" by practical standards of a rational average person and usually those useless hobbies are going to be replaceable as their uselessness starts to become tedious or too unnecessarily wasteful, time-wise.

For instance now I am looking at phasing out disc golf and focusing more on developing means of getting white t shirts to stay white all over and not get stains in the armpit area, but just through solid scientific methods of laundering, not in changing diet or deodorant habits, and am seeing some success after the last month so I'm buying 5 more packs of shirts, doubling up on deodorant and changing shirts 3 times/day, so there is a bigger sample size after the next 45 days.

Would love to hear more about that last project. Will you be publishing any scientific literature?

+1 for disc golfing. Playing a couple of courses recently was pretty frustrating, considering I hadn't done it in a while, and I was a bit more used to ultimate frisbee. But still fun.

This did not disappoint. I used to disc golf when I was in high school. I wasn't any good, mainly just did it to be outside and smoke weed. I'm interested in your white t-shirt experiment though. All of my white tees that I wear under my work clothes get so nasty after awhile. Keep us informed.
