Yes, it was an historic election - the NDP (for better or worse) has come of age. I used to vote for them sometimes until Bob Rae became the Premier of Ontario and put the province into a heap of debt.
Recently I've voted for the Green Party - not that I'd want them to run the country mind you, but just to get an alternative voice in Parliament.
As to last night - a majority government is probably what we need now - its good for business, the dollar and the stock markets. I used to prefer a minority government but we've had three in a row now and its time for more stability in government.
Ahh, the Block Quebecois - hopefully this is a death blow for that party. There should be no federal party devoted to looking out for the interests of one province.
