I really hope Jerry does a Steinbrenner move for our next manager....Start the hating....I want Ozzie back. He'll be the distraction media wise and I think he's needed again for this type of team that we have.

I'd rather they didn't bring him back, I don't think his act is good for the team. He's a good option for publicity but I'd rather they went in a different direction.

That has nothing to do with managers wanting to compete against the freaking Cubs. That's a Reinsdorf hallmark of not spending money on big name coaches/managers. The Bulls are the same way.

There aren't many big name managers to begin with, but those available aren't turning down jobs out of fear of the Cubs any more than they would turn down the Mets because of the Yankees. The Sox have as much talent if not more, than the Cubs and will have plenty of money to spend on fixing holes. They will be able to get anyone they want.

Even the worlds greatest manager can only do so much with shit. Robin hasn't been given anything great the past two seasons, but he still makes rookie mistakes.

the talent was there but remember avi gone most of the year, eaton on dl 20 times, abreu on dl, beckham on dl, lindstrom and jones on dl, sale on dl, gillespie on dl. it never ended. still rv sucks ass.
